The War Among the Democrats
Human Events.com ^ | April 28, 2008 | John Batchelor

With four months to go until the Democratic National Convention in Denver Colorado August 24-28, what is now clear is that the two warring camps in the party mean to fight out the nomination to the floor itself and at least the first ballot. This is a full scale civil war in the Democratic Party. Both camps identify four major fronts where the combat will be sophisticated, ruthless and round-the-clock.

The first major battlefront is cash. The Obama campaign is clearly dominant, raising a dumbfounding $235 million overall, with $42 million on hand and more each hour. I received four requests for $25 in the first half day after Pennsylvania was declared.

I love the description of Mrs. Clinton fighting “like a crazed weasel,” but won’t Wesley Clark sue for copyright infringement?

From the Article

The second battlefront is the media.

The third front is the delegation fight in Michigan and Florida

The fourth battlefront is the female vote

And I add: The Fifth battlefront is the Republicans whom they vow to litterally destroy

The Sixth is the U.S. Constitution

Then to bring on their Democratic/Liberalistic Utopia where all belong to their socialistic government.

Dean took back everything he said yesterday...saying that the ALL the delegates will vote for whomever they think can defeat McCain.

Has Hillary been threatening people?? I'm certain she has promised all kinds of jobs...which would be nothing more than reinstatement in old positions.

When I think of the tens-of-millions of dollars already spent, the destroyed lives left in the wake, the devisive nastiness that is splitting & pitting one American against another....I just have to laugh.

As Montgonery Burns, Homer Simpsons’s boss, might murmur gleefully, while rubbing his palms together, “Execllent, excellent!”

Cash flung about while these two try to demolish the other, is cash not available to do battle with John McCain in that critical period from August to November. The fallout includes every real or specious charge that one or the other of these two may have hurled in a moment of intemperance or poor judgment, which may be picked up, examined at leisure by the McCain campaign, then used or not used as deemed appropriate.

Unfortunately, the McCain campaign seems to want to be seen as “gentlemanly’ and above all forms of mudslinging. So much so, that they will not use what is really some of their best ammunition, because it will be seen as “insensitive” or “unseemly”, a reprise of what the reaction was to Rick Lazio stepping down from his podium and attempting to thrust some sheaf of papers at She Who Cackles.

How long are we going to tremble at being unable to solidly engage these people who hide behind their mantle of victimhood, while they manage to manipulate and misdirect so much of the public? The best part of this bug tussle between Hillary and Obama is we get to see how two people crippled by their victimhood get out and scrap at one another. It is like watching a paraplegic taking on a blind person.

Smashmouth politics at its best.
