Rev. Wright's Press Club Debacle Has CNN Anchor Groaning 'Ah, Boy'
NewsBusters ^

How bad was Reverend Wright's appearance before the National Press Club this morning? Bad enough that even CNN contributor Roland Martin--who yesterday enthused about Wright's address to the Detroit NAACP, who gave Wright's chat with Bill Moyers an 'A'--flunked it with an 'F.' Bad enough that David Gergen condemned it as "narcissistic beyond belief." Bad enough that, introducing a panel discussion of the speech, CNN Newsroom host Tony Harris let out an audible groan of "ah, boy," and later wondered how much damage had been done.

Let's hope that Wright--a black racist who spews hateful, venomous, garbage in a 'so-called' church takes ALL THE TIME HE NEEDS to enlighten America about why black churches need to spread hate by poisoning the minds of their congregations and black youth.
Take your time, Reverend.
Take ALL THE TIME YOU NEED!!!...lol

Rev Wright's comments just put race relations in this country back 50 years and he acts like he wants a race war. Along with Rev Sharpton calling for shutting down NYC and offing the pigs, one wonders if that war is about to begin?
And since any attack against Wright, he says, is an attack against the Black Church, what and who will he and his followers burn if nObama loses the nomination or, the Black God forbid, the election?

It’s funny how these talking heads groan about the Reverend’s comments because of appearances while wondering “how much damage was done,” yet in principal, they agree with everything he says.

If I were running for president, and I had friends and acquaintances like Mr. Obama’s, I would be hiding under a desk, or would have dropped out by now.
His friends all seem to have one thing in common: They do not like the United States of America.
I’d say that is a monstrous problem for the Obama campaign - even if he wins the nomination at Denver.

We're getting terribly off-course about the big, big issues of our time. I couldn't disagree with David Gergen more. Race, and the broader issues of Identity Politics are hugely important. It's time we turned a corner in this country and called a spade a spade. The folks who promote hatred need to be rejected.

That phrase descibes most of the enemedia and congress. I'm afraid it also describes McCain.

Wright is one of them.
Perhaps we need an open conflict, at least it will be honest at that time.

Were I not to have had many very sharp African American friends and associates over the years, and had I to form an opinion of African Americans using only those who appear before our MSM, I’d be one of the most prejudiced whites on the planet. Never have I seen a more consistent group of low-achievers (capable of done nothing save for their race baiting), gripers, and general never-do-wells. What a bunch of loosers. They do so very much to undo good done by Cosby, Walter Williams, Thomas Sowell, Clarance Thomas, etc.

It is past time to stop the financial support of failing black communities, they can take care of themselves. They need to stew in their own juices, pay the price for their own incompetence.
With 75% of their children not graduating, and the massive amount of black men in prison, they obviously cannot run a civilized community.
Cut them off, refuse to subsidize them, and you will see how fast they suddenly become real Americans, who work hard and take care of each other. They will have no time to hate, complain and blame, because they will be to busy working like the rest of us.

If you want to further divide this country along racial and economic lines--while demoralizing our military with an arrogant, anti-American, Marxist elitist,,,,
and a cocky, arrogant, enabler of black racism--Senator B. (whose middle name must NEVER be spoken) Obama,
and his anti-American racist pastor, mentor, close friend and 'spiritual advisor',

Did Jeremiah Wright Jr. blow it?
After more than 40 years in ministry, Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr. can finally fulfill his prophetic witness to the widest audience. Rather than speak only to congregations, he now has the national spotlight to explain and educate the American public about his passion in the pulpit.
But did he squander that spotlight this morning?
Some members of his de facto fan club say he did. Roland Martin, a CNN analyst, who usually defends Wright and explains the nuance and context of his remarks, said he “blew it” by being too “flippant.”

I love this part about the religion of Rev. Wright:
“Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of black theology is to kill Gods who do not belong to the black community ... Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy. What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal. Unless God is participating in this holy activity, we must reject his love.”
Why didn't someone ask him about THAT?!
