[Michael "Tank Driver"] Dukakis: It's Probably Obama in '08, But the Campaign Needs to Improve
New York Observer ^ | 29 Apr 08 | Steve Kornacki

The Massachusetts Democratic primary, along with nearly two dozen other primaries and caucuses, was held on Feb. 5. Hillary Clinton won it by 15 points, one of her best showings anywhere this year, and Michael Dukakis voted in it—but he won’t say for whom.

[SNIP]

Mr. Dukakis has maintained an adamantly neutral public stance throughout the campaign, hoping instead to sell both candidates and their campaigns on the need for assembling a massive grassroots organizing effort—a captain and six block leaders in all 200,000 precincts in the country—for the fall. But he also said that Barack Obama will probably be the nominee and the race decided by early June, and possibly much sooner, with primaries in Indiana and North Carolina on tap next week.

“If Obama wins both of those states on the sixth of May, I don’t see how as a practical matter he doesn’t have it,” Mr. Dukakis, who officially clinched the Democratic nomination in June 1988, said in an interview this week.

If he doesn’t score a two-state sweep, Mr. Dukakis said, the contest will be decided “relatively quickly” after the final primaries, in South Dakota and Montana on June 3, with the remaining undecided superdelegates quickly making their preferences known. Asked whether the pledged-delegate count—which Sen. Obama is assured of leading—and popular-vote tally will be decisive, Mr. Dukakis said, “I would think. I mean, we’ve had a contest. You look at the numbers.”

An ally of Howard Dean, the Democratic national chairman who has taken a hard line against Florida’s and Michigan’s claims to full convention representation based on their January contests, Mr. Dukakis bristles at the notion that Sen. Clinton should get any credit—in delegates or in popular votes—for her nominal victories there.

LOLOLOL... Oh, It hurts! It hurts!

The least relevant politician ever... LOL... He’s not “finally” speaking out, it’s just that he finally found a reporter dumb enough to listen to him, and dumb enough to believe anyone in the world would care!

Hey Michael,

How would you like a job baby-sitting the former Governor of Georgia?

Needs to...to..improve? snicker, snicker...hehehe...LOL!

Yes, I gues you could say it needs to improve.

But how do you improve on such a disaster?

It has become obvious to Americans of all stripes that Obama's former pastor, Wright, is hate-filled and anti-American.

Obama's lame attempts to distance himself, though probably orchestrated for just this purpose, will not wash. Wright has just been too close for far, far too long. Since his ties to Obama are so deep and long standing, people are now looking at what Wright actually teaches, his ideology and theology, and what Obama has listened to for the last 20 years.

Wright teaches Black Liberation Theology that was the creation of the black radical James Hal Cone, who took the Latin American Liberation Theology that had been created by Marxists to lure poor catholics into their "revolution" (because they knew their totally Godless marxism would not work), and revamped it for blacks in America.

This theology teaches that Christ was an oppressed black man living under whitey rule (the Romans) who was as much or more of a social revolutionary against white oppression as he was about spiritual salvation. In this sense, the theology is much closer to what the Islamics teach about Christ than what true Christians teach about Him.

It is a hate-filled, bigoted, anti-American, race bating, marxist construct. Here is what it's creator, James Hal Cone, says about it, the same James Hal Cone who Wright constantly refers to and holds up as an icon:

"Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of black theology is to kill Gods who do not belong to the black community ... Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy. What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal. Unless God is participating in this holy activity, we must reject his love."
This then is the trough from which Barack Hussein Obama has fed and the well from which he has drunk deeply for the past 20+ years.

I went to a Lobster Bake at his house in Brookline. It was the first time I met him. I knew at that moment why he could never be President of my country. He was like a fish that you threw back, because he wasn’t a keeper. But the Christmas party with the Open Bar in the Governor’s Council Chamber. Now that was an experience. Will she? Or won’t she. All heads would turn.

The New York Observer editor must’ve covered every angle of the campaign, except the Dukaka factor.
