It's being used for commercial purposes. Disney was all for it until the furor arose. Cyrus is being used to make money.
You say it no news but it is. In the day and age where we are supposed to be aware of the underlying impetus behind this type of thing it still happens.
This isn't her first foray into titillation. She has posted images of herself revealing her bra and in seductive poses. It shows where she is heading.
The part I don't get is that her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, a country singer, is not stopping this. Country singers are supposed to be more conservative and more family oriented. I have yet to see anything from him at all about this.
And then you have the Dixie Chicks. Country Music, with its broader appeal, is going to have a lot of 'crossover' artists that don't share the basic values of the industry core.
Billy Ray Cyrus does not strike me as being very bright. The idea that he is somehow steering his daughters career is frightening. While he may have done a reasonable job with his daughter to this point, a trainwreck is inevitable.
Country singers are no less egocentric than other entertainers. They can get caught up in the fame and glory and money just like the rest.
He actually posed with her in one of the pictures that was shown on FNC. So, he obviously approves. The Judge said that he and the photographer that took them could actually go to prison, but I can't remember if he said it was child porn or child abuse or what.
