FOX News Poll: Obama’s Favorable Rating Drops
FOXNews ^ | April 30, 2008 | Dana Blanton

Posted on 04/30/2008 11:41:12 AM PDT by kingattax

Nearly half of Democrats (48 percent) think Hillary Clinton has a better chance of beating John McCain in November — 10 percentage points higher than the 38 percent who think Barack Obama can win, according to a FOX News poll released Wednesday. This represents a significant shift from March, when Democrats said Obama was the candidate more likely to beat McCain.

Democrats continue to favor Clinton as their party’s leader, albeit narrowly: 44 percent want her to win the nomination and 41 percent want Obama. Last month Clinton was preferred by 2 percentage points.

Further, for the second month in a row Clinton does slightly better than Obama in head-to-head matchups against the Republican senator. Clinton tops McCain by just 1 point (45 percent to 44 percent), down from a 3-point advantage last month. McCain edges Obama by a narrow 3-point margin (46 percent to 43 percent), up from a 1-point lead.

The leader in these matchups has shifted back and forth. In the last year, the biggest spread between Clinton and McCain was September 2007 when Clinton led him by 7 points. Obama held a 10-point lead over McCain last July.

Nearly a third of Clinton supporters — 32 percent — say they would vote for McCain instead of Obama (47 percent) if the general election were held today. Fewer Obama supporters — 21 percent — would defect and vote for McCain over Clinton if she were the nominee.

A Democratic ticket with Obama as the presidential nominee and Clinton as his running mate receives 47 percent to 41 percent for a Republican ticket of McCain and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney as his vice president.

Black Liberation Theology is a marxist construct to give the allusion of "religion" to a purely, diabolical, anti-American marxist ideology. It's interpretation of Christ wrests His very mission and turns the Truth of God into an absolut lie.

It is well past time that the whole thing was aired out, fumigated, and Orkin'ed.

Now, we need to start "Ayering" out some more of the Obamination's associations.

THE AUDACITY OF TRUTH - BLACK LIBERATION THEOLOGY AND OBAMA'S CHURCH

THE AUDACITY OF TRUTH - OBAMA'S CIRCLE OF FRIENDS AND SUPPORT

THE AUDACITY OF TRUTH - BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA

Great post. Great tagline. But I guess I’m not the first to tell you.

All anyone has to do is think about all the news conferences over the next four years conducted by the witch. If she won’t be talking down to you like a child she will be screaming at you!....

Unfortunately, McCain isn't likely to win any personality contests either, and only a tiny fraction of voters actually watch press conferences.

Likability is an important trait in a politician, but Obama was the only one of the three that had much charisma.

I agree with you, except, I would only vote for a Republican, regardless of skin color and I really hope the first black POTUS is a Republican.

The Black Liberation Theology is pernicious. It is also insulting to everyone who has worked for over 50 years to make ourselves colorblind.

Years ago, we were on vacation and I got to talking with a young black man out by the pool. He was an engineer. He was also wearing a cap and t-shirt proclaiming himself a member of Black Dive Masters of America. I was old enough to be his mother and so, I asked him why he needed a black dive master organization. To his credit, he became sheepish, but he explained that :”People don't pay attention to blacks in other organizations.”. I told him that he was insulting all of us who had worked for so long to end racism in our society. He was a bit chagrined, but he insisted it was necessary to be separate. I told him how very disappointing that was. I doubt I made much of an impression, though.

Since hearing Wright's rants and the explanations that this _was_ the black church, I have felt uneasy. If this is what educated, successful blacks feel in their hearts, then I am now suspicious that they will continue to lead the unsuccessful, uneducated blacks to hate whites, hate America and to turn against support of everything that has been accomplished since the 1950s. I have been forced to become a typical white person. How sad.

Richard Nixon gives me the warm fuzzies inside, compared to Snobama, the Witch, and the RINO relic.

You all have already heard if Obama doesn’t get nomination there will be rioting in the streets. This should be interesting as the Wright thing affects his candidacy - if Hillary gets super delegate vote there may seriously be rioting! Sharpton as usual has thrown in his 2 cents worth! Should be fun anyway!!!

Hillary on top of the ticket and Barry as VP would be a hard ticket to beat. Barry on top and Hillary as VP would be a disaster for Democrats. Either one without the other will be facing a tough task of uniting the party before even considering what to do in the general against the RINO relic.

No matter what one thinks of Rush, this is almost ENTIRELY attributable to “Operation Chaos,” for without that extending the campaign, Obama would have slipped by with Rev. Wrong off in the corner. He would already have been the nominee.

Jeff, we will soon see Wright produce “pwoof” of Obama being in the service, slapping the Rev. on the back and saying “Good job. I agree with everything you said.” I don’t know what kind of “pwoof” that will be, but Wright is too smart to go into a gunfight armed with a slingshot.

I hope we do. We shall see. The “source” close to the Wright ministry who was quoted in the New York Post today certainly alluded to the very thing you state.

Hate is a digestive poison. I felt pity for my now late mother when she insinuated "blacks steal things" when employed at her nursing home, but it was a quiet racism that was passed in private from a decayed mind. I'm outraged at the full-blow, public comments by this black racist man in 2008, and sadly even more outraged at the lack of outrage by his fellows.

My high school had two black students. My daughter's magnet school is split right down the middle in race, and is joyfully attended by everyone, because it is a school for students who really want to be there, black and white, to get the best education possible. There is very little of what we in my youth called "racial unrest" because they are too busy and too smart to waste their time being different from one another. We say that my daughter "has no black friends" and then go on to say "she has friends. Oh, if it matters, some of them are black."

The hard work I and my wife have done to raise our daughters color-blind is spit on by the venom of this kind of racist, and Christ would stand up and rebuke him...if He had ever been invited into Wright's congregation, which I have to doubt.

I mentioned in a threat several months ago that I think there is a good reason no one wants to win. We may be getting ready to see the perfect storm of problems not seen in 80 years:

1. Dollar declining to the point where our currency standing puts us at a disadvantage we have never seen.

2. Crisis stacked on top of Iraq may include Iran, N. Korea, Venezeuela, and others.

3. Oil prices that may bring us to ur needs (again partially due to the currency discrepancy)

4. An economy that likely has not seen the full effect of the real estate collapse. One major bank faliure away from panic.

5. Illegal alien issues that are getting worse every day. Can you imagine what it will be like if an when the economy goes south.

6. The most selfserving set of legislatures that I have seen in my lifetime. When crisis occurs, it will be utter gridlock.

Yeah, not ean exactly an election I'd like to win.

I think Obama pretty well provides that proof in his first book on pages 292 and 293.
