It is unfortunate that this apparent fake video surfaced. This would have been sufficient just calling the people of Indiana the S word. However, this probably reflects the thinking of Steponallofus, Carville, and Kantor, whether or not the actual words were uttered. Unfortunately, there are a lot more politicians, both Democrat and Republican, who feel that way. I guess the masses deserve it, given the fact that they have put up with their stuff for all these years.

OK, anybody willing to go out on a limb and speculate that Clinton did this?

I mean, it’s the perfect play. It’s not her saying anything, so there’s no real risk, they know they’ve got the real video to prove the other one is fake, they know that Kantor didn’t say something bad.

So they put this out, let it sit for a few hours, and then trickle out the “denials”. The entire day becomes how Obama’s campaign is playing dirty tricks.

Now, it could well be that someone at the Obama camp is actually stupid enough to think they could get away with this. Or some independent who felt that “anything was good” if it helped there person.

But when the hoax is this badly done, you have to consider that it might be a sympathy ploy.

But it’s clear that Kantor wasn’t calling them “sh*t”. He stopped himself, because he was HAPPY with the people of Indiana, and he was talking about the WHITE house being very scared about the polling from Indiana.

I agree that if he HAD said what he was reported to have said it would be bad. But he didn’t.

“I’ve never used that word [the n-word] in my entire life, ever, under any circumstance, ever,” an angry Kantor told The Huffington Post, citing his and his parent’s work fighting for civil rights.

"Michael "Mickey" Kantor (born August 7, 1939 in Nashville, Tennessee) is an American politician and lawyer."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mickey_Kantor

Any white boy born in Nashville in 1939 who says he's never said the "n-word" is a liar.  And if he later became a politician and lawyer -- doubly so.

I would bet they faked it. After all, who benefits the most. Look how quickly it was ‘exposed’.. they can run around claiming they are the victims of a smear trick, all the attention is on them, and they can claim the moral high ground (sic) because they didn’t say those things, they had to be faked.

It is unfortunate that this apparent fake video surfaced.

This part does not appeared to be faked:

Carville: It's pretty good.

Kantor: "Look it look at Indiana wait wait look at Indiana, 42 40. It doesn't matter ... [unintelligible ]... Those people are sh**t ." "Oh, excuse me" as Kantor addresses the cameraman.

I believe I hear him say,
“Look, look at Indiana. Wait, wait, look at Indiana, 42-40. It doesn’t matter anyway...those people are sh*t. Oh, excuse me.”

No, it's not completely clear who Kantor is referring to as "Sh**t."

You may infer that Kantor is referring to the White House as sh**t because he's happy with the Indiana results, OR one may infer that Kantor believes they won Indiana despite of the "backward hicks" that make up much of Indiana voting public as "Sh**t" because they usually vote republican in presidential races. Only Kantor would know for sure.

To add onto my post number #12 on this thread.

Except Clinton ended up losing Indiana by over 6% in 1992. So Kantor was most likely referring to the voters on Indiana as "Sh**t" instead of the White House.

As Kantor said "it didn't matter"...[meaning it does not matter if we lose Indiana we'll win the election anyway] those people are sh**t..."

This now appears to be a preemptive attack, defensive in nature, by the Hillary campaign since the Indiana primary is around the corner.

Hillary and/or her operatives knew this damaging video could have came out to hurt her as it is. So her operatives clumsily doctored the video to add the dubbed-in racial N-word slur to inoculate her campaign, which could easily be found and refuted as "fake." Remember, Hillary needs a big win in the Indiana primary. She has been saying the Indiana primary will be the turning point. She can not afford any derogatory information about Indiana from one of her closest supporter, Kantor, to become news in the final days of the Indiana primary.

Obama and his campaign is innocent here.

The video was "fake but accurate". Does seem to be a lot of turnabout these days.

You sound like a Democrat. You should join Barack Obama’s campaign. He represents your beliefs.

Here's the another version of the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ls8Oe_0R57I&feature=related

The one where you can hear the racial slur that's probably dubbed-in.
