Mr JC Watts only blemish is that he played football for OU Sooners.

J.C. Watts would make a great VP candidate...he can attack Obama without the race issue ever being raised, not to mention he is a dynamite speaker - I’ve always liked the guy.
To: Psycho_Runner
J.C. Watts also has a couple of illegitimate children, and this could be a problem for both him and for the GOP if Watts does become McCain’s final VP choice.

They will not change their ideology for the sake of political correctness. It might in my case. If I had a certain position on the issue, then found out that it was the PC position, I would have to rethink that position and make sure it was sound.
I always say that if PC stuff was actually/factually correct they wouldn't need the extra adverb, it would just be the regular old-fashioned type of "correct".

If it’s McCain/Watts vs. Clinton/?? A couple of kids shouldn’t matter against an incredible history of Clinton corruption.

Thanks for posting. It’s good to hear from JC Watts.

Rep. Watts left the House to be a father and husband to his wife and two young children. I hope the kids are now old enough that he can re-enter the political arena; we need principled, bright politicians like him in the Republican Party NOW!

Actually, this article by him is EXACTLY why John McAmnesty would never select him as VP.
"Today, I believe the Republican and Democrat establishments would love nothing more than for the social conservatives to sit down and shut up, but they know this demographic can still really impact an election. "
He has John McCains Number!

Blaming guns for crime is like blaming chains for slavery.
Dadgum fine analogy.

J.C. was my congressman when I moved back to Oklahoma from South America.
His office bent over backwards to help out with some initial moving problems.
He is a likable person and I believe would make a fine choice for President someday and a great, great find for Vice President.
Just the lowly opinion of a red state wannabe.

They have become so disillusioned and so misunderstood by the establishment of both parties that they tend to not get energized for elections anymore. In other words, they have been successfully marginalized.
You'd think they'd wake up to it and not lay down for it.

That's why trying to blame guns for crime is like trying to blame chains for slavery. My favorite writer would very much appreciate a line like that.

I agree with you but I wonder why he has retired from public office. I keep wishing he would run for a state wide office, like Governor.
