-—arrived in Deadwood, SD Thursday noon, was the most snowed in I’ve ever been til 5 pm yesterday-—melting out now.
It was a fierce, but short-lived, blizzard. We finally got our road plowed open this morning. Had six-foot drifts all around us, briefly lost power. Now the sun is shining and the snow is melting like crazy. Hope to golf tomorrow.
Such is the weather in the Black Hills. Always changing. That’s why I love it here. Now, the blizzard of ‘49 was a different story.
