BAGHDAD, Iraq Iraq on Monday signed two deals worth $5 billion to buy 40 planes from Boeing and 10 planes from Canada's Bombardier to upgrade Iraqi Airways' aging fleet.

PING
One of their secondary ministers scoffed at that idea the other day by saying nobody asked us ( US ) to come over. It was a thread here.
I’d like to know if he is still working or been retired, that would help identify how the Iraqi government feels.
Interesting point-of-view: as if the Iraqi people themselves asked to be invaded. Like they ordered a pizza, or something.

That’s fine, liberated. We attacked Iraq because Saddam Hussein was in material breach of various UN Security Council Resolutions, he was firing on our planes in the two no-fly zones, as part of our overall national security interests, and because he was a prick. Now we want to send the Iraqis a bill?
They already are, we’re getting a percentage of their oil revenues.
Be nicer if we got a percentage of the oil directly... but I can understand why that would be bad.
“Now we want to send the Iraqis a bill?”
I didn’t say that...did I say that?
noooooooooooooooooooo...
“Iraqis were liberated.”
Are the Iraqis as free as to buy aircrafts from Airbus?
