We have to adjust. First of all, it's a much more competitive world. We have to be benchmarking. We have to be asking ourselves, what's going on? Give you simple example. Meredith there are three countries in the world that have not adopted the metric system: Myanmar, Liberia, and the United States.

I am going to say it as forthrightly as I can. In this the US is right and the rest of the World is wrong. The Metric system is just downright stupid for 95% of human activity. For the remaining 5%, the specialty trades can and will use metric measurements, even in the US.

If you let people decide what to use, they will use the US measurements for everyday use. The only way Metric can gain prominence is to be imposed from above.

LOL...

You are right, plus the Metric system just sounds lame. I mean watching football and hearing “it's 3rd down and 3 meters to go” or “hey kids it's just 6 more kilometers to Grandma's house” or “Hell man I shot that dear from 75 meters away” would make me want to pull a yuppie from a Volvo and punch them...

No telling how I would feel if someone asked me to pick up a “liter” of Jack Daniels on the way over to a party, that's just not right...

The only advantage of the Imperial System is that we grew up with it.
