Competence on the part of the gov’t is indeed a rare thing and may keep this guy from trouble. However, having spent a couple years working for a gov’t contractor I can assure you the rules and regulations dominate the culture. Again, this was a contractor, not the actually gobbers like these guys. The creators of the rules rarely feel obligated to follow them.

The older I get, the more amazed I am that the world functions at all. We need massive, sweeping changes in the people that run the US gov't. The Founding Fathers have given us an incredible structure and system but too many of the people running it today are corrupt for the system to stand much longer. An enormous influx of simple integrity and honesty is the only thing that will save this country. IMO, that involves (though not requires) a return to faith, and sadly, I don't see that coming any time soon.
