There has never been a truly communist nation. Communism is a lie and cannot ever really exist.
*ahem* communism works fairly well when there are fewer than 100 or so practitioners in the commune. Social pressure keeps the parasites in check. Much above 100, they take over.
Run a small town that way? Hopeless.
A whole country? It is to laugh...
