Eight youths from Jerusalem were arrested Tuesday on suspicion they assaulted and stabbed two Israeli Arabs, residents of the Shuafat refugee camp, Army Radio reported.
The assault occurred on the eve of Memorial Day for Israel's Fallen Soldiers and Victims of Terrorism near the entrance to the Pisgat Ze'ev shopping mall.
One of the victims sustained moderate wounds and his friend did not require any medical care. Advertisement
According to Army Radio, the eight suspects said during police questioning that the assault was part of efforts to rid the Pisgat Ze'ev neighborhood of Arabs.

If the two who were attacked were identified as having harassed the girls, I would agree. If they were merely Arabs who needed to be ousted on general principles because some Arabs had been harassing Iraeli girls, that wouldn’t be in self-defense.
There are many Arabs that live in Israel, in peace with Israel.
Don’t know the details, but I do know that Arabs stalk the streets harrassing Jewish girls. The police won’t do anything until they actually rape someone. No thanks.

Look, bad people should be prevented from carrying out their crimes. We both support that. You still can’t have a mob mentality governing a situation, that may not involve the actual perps.
There are tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of Arabs living in Israel. They do so by choice, and are happy not to be governed by the terrorists.
You can’t simply single out an Arab for corrective measures, just because some Arabs are causing trouble.
If some youths in your town are causing trouble, I doubt you’d like to see youth in your family inappropriately mistreated as a corrective measure.
If they don't want trouble, then they should make sure no one from their clans & communities stalk Jewish girls ever again.

I would expect it. I am Middle Eastern & this is the Middle Eastern way: collective responsibility. Just as when you fight one of us, you fight us all, when one of us is in trouble, we are all responsible.

Fortunately Israel has a justice system. If the article is accurate, the perps will be dealt with. By the justice system, not by giving them awards.

I understand that, it is something Westerners cannot understand about us.
It has its benefits & drawbacks. On one hand, if someone of my clan hurts somebody, we are all fair game for retaliation. On the other hand, we will never have to face danger alone.
One of the problems is that it is unjust. The other is that it spreads violence exponentially.
Call it what is is, this was thuggery, plain and simple. That's why the dear "lads" were arrested.
It is not considered unjust among us & is expected. In fact, it is our fault for not controlling the rogue among us. Usually an elder will step in as a mediator if the fued spirals out of control. As for spreading violence, we are definitely a more violent society than others. Maybe it is a product of our tribalism, maybe our tribalism is a reaction to a violent environment, or both.
It’s good thuggery. For Jews, that is. They were arrested because Israel is spineless.
