I don't think she is going to drop out but something is up for sure...she was going to be on 3 networks in the morning and now nothing.

At some point, they're simply going to be forced, to mumblingly admit, finally, that we were right all along. ;)

I don’t know...that almost sounded like an end of the campaign speech tonight. The fire was really gone.
She may have got enough in donations after Pennsylvania to bring her debts current - more or less. Now might be a good time to stop for financial reasons.

I don't think she is going to drop out but something is up for sure...she was going to be on 3 networks in the morning and now nothing. The traditional post-campaign firing of the campaign manager du jour will be taking place tomorrow first thing, followed with a hurried session with all the experts on how to adjust/fine tune Hillary's positions on issues relevant to Oregonians.

I just don’t see why this is such a big deal. ‘Winning’ a state is not a winner take all for the dems. She gets 42 percent of the delegates. Obama gets 56%, only 14% more than she did. In a state 1/3 black. He should have gotten a higher percentage if he was really as strong as the MSM makes him out to be.

I think she's going to drop out. There's just no point to staying in the race when she cannot overtake Obama in the delegate lead. Th remaining contests won't change the picture and Hillary knows it. She's coming to terms with the political reality she won't be the nominee.

Say goodbye to the LAST time the RNC, and the state party apparatus (hopefully), takes Conservatives for granted in the GOP Presidential primary season, also the last time the RNC should allow crossover Democrat voting into the GOP early primaries to give us a moderate RINO nominee that sucks.

I think she's going to drop out. Hillary cares about one thing -- power. She isn't going to step aside until the time Obama get enough delegates to win the nomination. She's more likely to plot his assassination than quit.

no one ever really thought she could take a state 1/3rd black did they? Obama is black. Hillary is white. If a state is 1/3 black and 2/3 white, it would seem Hillary would have the advantage. The impeached one, Bubba, held 9 North Carolina events in one day. Obama should send Bubba a thank-you note for reminding all the blacks and all the upscale whites just how disgusting the Clintons are.

If Cankles genuinely possessed all the awesome, necromantic Powers From Beyond that far, far too many FReepers appear far, far too obligingly willing to grant her in the
first bloody place -- :
*... she wouldn't be getting her broad, pants-suited hinder handed to her by Obama to begin with; she'd already be happily coronated by now, and Obama would merely be (at absolute best, mind) one of her more likely options as potential VP.
*... she wouldn't be flat, busted broke right now, while competitor Obama sits placidly on an unspent war chest (even after tonight) of $112mil or so, give or take. She'd be rollin' about in the donated green stuff like... well... like a blissed-out, pants-suited sow, ultimately.
Folks simply need to apply a li'l careful, logical thought to matters such as these, is all. ;)

She's a loser. Hillary couldn't beat a lightweight Senator from Illinois no one heard of four years ago. The woman is no longer "inevitable." And I want the Clintons to be kept as far from the White House as possible.

True. But there aren't enough delegates left to put her in the lead. And if she couldn't get a blow out in must win Indiana, where she underperformed, I don't see her prospects being all that great in Kentucky and West Virginia.

"She either drops out or decides to unleash some serious mud that they have kept in reserve." That's what I want to see. Some good'ol drag down mud slinging, and Obama doing the same. I want to see them both utterly destroyed in the process, so there isn't a chance for either to win come Nov.

What was interesting to me is that as the pressure cranked up so did her energy level until she was running all over the place like the Mad Hatter, spouting the most inane and grandiose declarations: I’ll obliterate iraq, give the Arabs our nuclear umbrella, take on OPEC, etc. etc.
As you say, they need to be as far from the White House as possible.

To: goldstategop
I agree. I played around with the delegate calculator at cnn.com and I could not find any scenario where she could win. If the Beast won the remaining contests by 80% she still comes up short. If she won the remaining contests by 70%, she still needs 65% of the superdelagates to vote for her. The only reason I can see for her staying in is that she is trying to wound Obama so he loses to McCain and she can try to re-anoint herself as the front-runner in 2012.
