Sen. Hillary Rodham Clintons (D-N.Y.) presidential aspirations took a severe blow Tuesday night when frontrunner Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) soundly defeated her in North Carolina and the former first lady was unable to counterpunch in Indiana. While Clinton has lost by greater margins and once suffered through a long losing streak, Tuesdays results were devastating because it took the wind out of the sails of a campaign that had tried to convince voters and superdelegates that the tide had turned in her favor.
(snip)
Time is now running out for Clinton, who is behind in pledged delegates, total delegates, states won and total votes. It will be increasingly tough for her to convince superdelegates to remain uncommitted as momentum has clearly swung back to Obama.

momentum has clearly swung back to Obama. Indiana has done Hillary in. Her margin of little more than 22,000 votes out of more than 1.2 million cast just doesn't cut it. She's a goner now.

Yep. That's why she suspended her campaign and no further events are planned. The primaries are over.

"The primaries are over."
How dare you say that??!? The Hildebeast is planning to win Kentucky and West Virginia, so there! Count all the votes! Seat all the delegations! Michigan and Florida must re-vote! The Shrillary just needs to blackmail or knock off all the Superdelegates who refuse to support her and who knows what can still happen? /s

I think y'all are whistling past the graveyard. She's not giving up. Hell, she wouldn't give up if Obama had won in both states! The delegates are proportional -- she's still got plenty of reason to go to the convention.

Wait, what does the delegate math look like right now? Were NC and IN winner take all states? I’m not totally buying this yet...

Never count the Clintons out. The time is ripe for another “Wright” type story to be released.

Obama took NC because 33% of the vote is black, clinton won Indiana.

Obama now leads the pledged delegate count by 1840.5 to 1684.00 for Clinton. There are still 217 delegates at stake in the six remaining primaries and 270 uncommitted superdelegates...
So is Obama can get half of the next 6 primaries and 100 of the soperdelegates to vote for him, he would have 2048 pledged and unpledged delegates. The magic number to win the nomination is 2025 delegates..That looks doable for Obama so at this point it would appear that he will be the Democratic nominee...The odds of Hillary pulling it out and beating Obama in the pledged and unpledged delegates appear to be long odds indeed...That may mean the issue of seating the MIch and Florida delegates is moot, so Dean’s plan and her proposed argument to seat these delegates appears fruitless...It looks like it truly is over for Hillary...

I want Hillary to stay in. I am having too much fun. Did you see Billy’s face? Except for the suit, he looked like a drunken bum. Don’t let it stop now.

That is really strange. I don't see your pics on the thread but I do see them on the post composition page.
At any rate; she doesn't look dead. But she sure looks freaky.
