The family was called...the "perp" admitted she had done exactly that...she may be 100, but she is perfectly in her right mind.
She has a habit of taking her monitor off, and attempting to get up in the night to use the restroom on her own. This particular nursing facility doesn't much care for that; when my Grandpa was there, they routinely parked such patients in wheelchairs next to the nurses' station...easier than simply checking in on them on a regular basis.
In any event, my Aunt told the family, and the administrator of the facility that she was "paying good money for the place, and they were taking her out of her very nice warm bed to be parked in the hallway"...she was having NONE of that!
The nursing home administrator agreed with her entirely.
She is one of the last two of eight sisters...all lived well into their nineties. The "baby" is still living on the farm, driving the tractor around, at ninety-five. I take after them in personality...hope I'm blessed with the longevity!
