LAUREN RICHARDSON - YOU CAN HELP!
By Judie Brown

It has been a source of ongoing sadness to read of the difficulties Lauren Richardson’s father has had over the course of the past several months. For those of you who are not familiar with her case, Lauren overdosed on heroin on August 28, 2006. She suffered oxygen deprivation and, as a result of the overdose, is now in a coma and unable to speak out for herself. At the time of the overdose, Lauren was expecting a baby. Her parents honored what they knew would have been her wish and did all they could to keep her healthy and comfortable until the child was born. Today, though Lauren may not be aware of it, she is the mother of Ember Grace, who was born in February 2007.

Since the birth of her daughter, Lauren remains unable to speak of her concerns, but she has a loving father who is doing all he can to protect her from suffering the same fate as Terri Schiavo. However, Lauren’s mother, who has been named her legal guardian, is sadly not of the same opinion and is working with attorneys to pressure the courts to permit Lauren’s starvation.

Lauren’s father has kept hope alive, even at times when there appeared to be no hope in human terms. Lauren’s father is a man of hope in Christ and is dedicated to spending every breath he has on defending Lauren, regardless of what it might cost him in physical exhaustion and worldly goods. The most recent update for those concerned about Lauren tells us the following:

We struggle at times as we seek to share with the public the details of what is happening with Lauren because of the disagreement we have with Lauren’s mother. We cannot understand her reasoning in refusing a path of hope, healing and restoration for Lauren and insisting on causing her death by withholding food and water from her. The issue in Lauren’s case is the eternal truth that all people, no matter what their medical condition, bear the image of God and deserve basic care and an opportunity to be restored to health.

Bobby Schindler, Terri Schiavo’s brother, has written about Lauren in an editorial earlier this year, "False Compassion," and is working closely with Lauren’s father in order to provide expertise that he is uniquely qualified to share during a trying time like this.

There are many links on the Life for Lauren web site that will assist you in tracking this case and learning who is supporting Lauren’s ongoing care and who is opposing it. More importantly, there is something you can do to express your concerns.

ACTION NEEDED NOW

The governor of Delaware, Ruth Ann Minner, is being asked by pro-life Americans across this nation to intervene in this case in order to save Lauren from what many fear is an imminent court order dictating that Lauren be starved and dehydrated to death. I am asking you to be one of those who communicates your passionate belief that Lauren’s life is sacred and deserves to be protected from those who would order her death. The governor’s e-mail address is governor.minner@state.de.us.

Further, it would mean a great deal to Lauren’s father, Randy, if you sent him a copy of your e-mail to Governor Ruth Ann Minner. Randy’s e-mail address is Lifeforlauren@aol.com

During a recent visit to Anchorage, Alaska where Bobby Schindler was invited to speak, he told a reporter from The Catholic Anchor, "Once we accept that killing is an acceptable answer to human suffering, we lose any type of parameters. Euthanasia is a form of abandonment. It is not compassion."

Truer words were never spoken. As I frequently tell people who argue that we pro-lifers are being heartless and cruel for fighting to defend the rights of a "hopeless case," "God is the author of every human being’s life, and He has never given permission to a single one of us to arbitrarily rob another human being of life for any reason including disability or illness."

As Flannery O’Connor once wrote on the subject of false compassion, "In the absence of faith, we govern by tenderness. And tenderness leads to the gas chamber."

Lauren Richardson is not terminal – she is severely disabled. Lauren Richardson should not be murdered.

Are you so cynical that you actually believe there is a group of people going around looking for folks to kill, in order to "consolidat[e] gains in euthanasia established with Terri [sic]"?

Not cynical at all, just an honest, realistic assessment of these eugenicists, the same people who founded Planned Parenthood, te ideological cousins of the people who gave you teh Holocaust.

Do I believe that "there is a group of people going around looking for folks to kill, in order to "consolidat[e] gains in euthanasia established with Terri"? Absoultely! I'm surprised that you don't.

That is utterly naive of you.

As LifeNews.com reported this week, Richards honored Mother's Day by sharing part of an editorial her daughter wrote saying she got her pro-abortion views from her mother and grandmother, former Texas Gov. Ann Richards.

Note that like typical liberals, they didn't practice what they preach.

But then, it's just the poor and minorities that they think should have abortions.

Of course, if they all followed that adivice, tehse idiot Dimmycraps would have aborted their entire constituency out of existence, but they're not bright enugh to think that far.

It would be a mistake tho presume government executives to be basically conservative, as their very own lifeline relies on a nanny state system preserving their jobs and pay. In this instance they can hardly contain their glee at the strangulation of conservative values evolving the GOP into GLOP and merging incestuously with the democrat party as two ugly daughters of socialism.

And, of course, these lefties recognize the burden of Terri's Legacy as a looming factor.

Scandals at both ends of Pennsylvania Avenue, meanwhile, sullied the GOP's image. And although most Republicans originally supported the president's decision to go to war in Iraq, many more now question the strategies and tactics, and bemoan that the U.S. went in with too few forces and no occupation plan. Party members also acknowledge that the United States has squandered the global respect and goodwill that arose from the 9/11 tragedy. Finally, they voice disappointment with the GOP's emphasis on social, cultural, and religious issues, pointing especially to the controversies over the Terri Schiavo case and over embryonic-stem-cell research.......

Mother Jones and arbitrary, an interesting word combo!

Kruse's story is designed as an antidote to a year's worth of arbitration horror stories that have played on Capitol Hill since the Democrats regained control of Congress. Democrats have held hearings related to nearly a dozen bills currently pending to ban mandatory arbitration clauses in contracts governing everything from meatpacking to the employment of military reservists. Some of these bills are even supported by Republicans, including Ken Connor, a Virginia lawyer who represented Jeb Bush in the Terri Schiavo case, and Sen. Mel Martinez (R-Fla.), who cosponsored the most recent bill to ban arbitration clauses in nursing home contracts. The slew of public hearings, complete with compelling victims, has put a big black eye on the practice that the chamber hopes Kruse will counter with her down-home message.....

If the average Republican is upset that the GOP tried to
save an innocent disabled woman from her murderous
spouse, we are beyond hope.

How about something to really be upset about?

Like throwing our sovereignty into the trash for a
North American Union?

Or turning a blind eye to forced abortion and organ harvesting
from political dissidents in China while awarding Most Favored
Nation trade status?

Can we be upset that our borders are a porous joke?
Or that over 4,000 innocent pre-born babies are slaughtered
each day - 1,400 + black babies?

Or that the racist billion dollar a year Planned Parenthood
receives $300 million in taxpayer support even while
taking money earmarked for killing black babies.

If the Republicans don’t figure out what really matters,
they are doomed to the ash heap of history!

Floriduh takes more steps on its path to the finals as the top death state. It is easier to achieve with the family rent asunder, too. As we point out time and again, the left changes words, forging them into tools with new meanings to accomplish their ends. Thread by Floriduh Voter.

Thinking they can stop divorcing parents from fighting in court, state officials want to rewrite the laws to replace loaded terms like "custody" with "parenting plan."

To do that, though, they'll strip out guidelines for psychologists that are designed to protect the children.

"It dumbs down the criteria," Coral Gables psychologist Jerome Poliacoff said of the proposal to replace American Psychological Association's guidelines with "standards that a reasonable psychologist would use."

"Who gets to be the reasonable psychologist?" Poliacoff said. "I think it leaves a lot of room for poor work."

The bill, sponsored by Sen. Evelyn Lynn, R-Ormond Beach, passed both the House and Senate last week and is waiting for Gov. Charlie Crist's signature..................

Sometimes I suspect that groups under the banner of pro-life can be more interested in fund raising than in actually saving lives. I would suspect the contributions would come more quickly to some of these who become near martyrs after the tragedy than to groups who honestly and abashedly save lives.

So that is why in my estimation Colorado pro-lifers stand head and shoulders high, above the rest! They actually save lives first!

...........................................

WOO HOO!!

Colorado for Equal Rights turned in over 131,000
signatures to the Colorado Secretary of State
today. Nearly twice the 76,000 required, it looks
very likely that Coloradans will be confronting their
consciences this fall to decide one of life's most
compelling questions, when does life begin?

Doesn't everyone deserve equal protection under the
law?

Was Harry Blackmun, the architect of Roe v Wade correct?

410 U.S. 113 (1973). “In the Roe v. Wade decision, Justice Harry Blackmun wrote that, ‘(If the) suggestion of personhood [of the preborn] is established, the [abortion rights] case, of course, collapses, for the fetus’ right to life is then guaranteed specifically by the [14th] Amendment.’

Will Colorado honor God or honor man?

9News wants you to know.

Woo Hoo!
