CRAWFORD — Houston minister Kirbyjon Caldwell, a longtime religious adviser to President Bush, will officiate tonight when Jenna Bush marries Henry Hager at the president’s ranch.
The White House, which has maintained strict control over details of the ceremony and celebration, confirmed Saturday that Caldwell will administer the vows.
“He is a Bush family friend,” said Sally McDonough, spokeswoman for first lady Laura Bush.
Caldwell is the senior pastor of Windsor Village United Methodist Church and delivered the benediction at both of Bush’s inaugurals.
