In retrospect... if the loony left had their way back in ww2... we would all be speaking German and Japanese.
War is terrible... 4,000 men and women died in the WOT so far over a period of 7 years... but some of the battles during ww2... for instance, we lost 24,800 men (killed or wounded) in Iwo Jima in one month!
This is the reason I get so pissed off at newspapers listing the number of deaths on the front page... those guys have no idea that freedom has a cost.
I love the sound of a Hellfire missile.
Sadr’s Mahdi Army tugs are criminals
al Qaeda are terrorists Jihadi Islam-O-Fascists.
Because they are cowardly, ill-begotten offspring between their father and a mange ridden, flea infested jackal in heat.
This will be with us till we finally drop the MOABs on the Haj and mop up whatever scurries away.
“Hellfire Missile Kills Insurgent, Destroys Vehicle in Baghdad.”
How sad......I hope it wasn’t a Chevy!
. . .
So what do you propose?
1. A major expansion.
2. Arm, equip, train, fund Iranian resistance groups.
3. Hire our own Persian mercenaries to target the mullahs and the Revolutionary Guard leadership.
Maybe an old East German Passant.
or was it called a Trabant???
Lovely ideas. Although it would be likely to increase support ub Iran for the mullahs as against foreign interference.
Major problem, though. You have any thoughts on how to get a Democratic congress to fund such a program?
Actually, I believe it was the Iraqi government officials and army that started the use of the term “criminals”.
Which is pretty much what various commentators claim. So, what else is new?

Not one.
Actually, I do, but I doubt there is any chance of that idea having a chance of being more than a joke any earlier than 2010.
Tough times ahead. No doubt about that.
Every option has its own consequences, repercussions, fallout.
