Clap, clap, clap, spineless wusses — They get what they deserve ... maybe Newt will write them a nice speech in his eloquent Democrat elite style.

Every vote for a Dimmocrat, is a vote for higher energy prices, higher trade deficits and a less secure country.

If Congress continues to refuse to allow drilling and refining, then let Debbie lead the way by opening her state to do it.

"Republicans want more drilling, more consumption and more tax giveaways for the big oil companies," she said. "Democrats say that those are exactly the policies that got us into this mess to begin with."

Let's REDUCE drilling! That'll help the consumer!

Stabencow is the single stupidest human being in America, up to and including infants born without brain stems.

My email to Sen. Stabenow:

You were quoted by Associated Press calling for the GOP to change their policy on oil, and blaming them for the current high prices. You asked the GOP to:

* Ending billions of dollars in tax breaks for big oil companies.

Why not call for the end of all corporate tax breaks, regardless of the industry? Corporations don’t need tax breaks. They either make it on their own, or they fail.

* Forcing the oil companies to do their part by investing some of their profits in clean and affordable alternative energy.

Can you, as a member of Congress, guarantee they won’t be hit by anti-trust laws when they do?

* Protecting the American people from price gougers and greedy oil traders who manipulate the market.

Congress writes the laws. The Justice Department enforces them. What’s the problem?

* Temporarily stopping the diversion of oil to the national Strategic Petroleum Reserve, which is already 97 percent full.

Congress can pass a law suspending this program, if they are willing to assume the consequences. Given the Middle East situation, wouldn’t the diversion of this oil to homeowners be risky? Wouldn’t car-pooling save more oil than diverting oil from the Strategic Reserves?

* Standing up to the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries and other oil-producing nations that are working together to keep oil prices high.

Wouldn’t this be considered as meddling in other countries affairs? The Congress is trying to get the US out of the Middle East. What would you propose the President should do to Iran?

You cite the President and his cronies as getting used to the spoils of plunder. Do you have any evidence the President and his cronies have profited unduly? Have you invited the Justice Department to investigate?

Hollow rhetoric is not going to lower the price of gasoline.

Increasing the production of domestic oil will contribute to lower prices.

Adding nuclear power plants will reduce oil prices.

Adding U.S. based refineries will lower the cost of gasoline.

Forcing auto companies to cease immediately the production of gas guzzling vehicles, and requiring all consumers to drive small vehicles will reduce the price of gasoline.

Rationing gasoline will reduce the cost of gasoline.

Forcing all homeowners using fuel oil for domestic heat and hot water to convert to electric systems will reduce the cost of gasoline.

You see, there are many positive ways to reduce the cost of gasoline, all of which are under the power of the United States Congress to enact and demand enforcement.

I suggest ending the rhetoric, and start legislating will be more beneficial.

Thank you for your time.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot is your plan Mrs. Athans, I mean Mrs. Stabmenow? You people control congress, and since your takeover, it's gotten worse - and that takes work considering the job the 02-06 Republicans did.

Put up or shut up, and don't blame me since I voted for Mike Bouchard.

Drill ANWR — that would be a change for the better.

Here's my answer for Stabenow:
1) ANWR, like you said; and
2)Since a policy change was called for, my new policy would be to deny gasoline to all Democrats until they vote for more drilling and more refineries and more nuclear power plants.

In the alternative, I’d suspect velcro holders to keep those pants
in place.
...or as a back-up system in case there’s a “wardrobe malfuntion” with
the weights system.

The problem is we have no Republicans with a set of balls who will stand up and tell the truth. They are too busy making global warming commercials with the Democrats. The environmentalist are killing this country. I see the USA as a third world country within 10 to 15 years.

two of the largest suppliers of PV technology in the world are BP and Shell. Either Stabenow is too stupid to know it, or she’s counting on her voters being too stupid to know it.

How anyone could believe that drilling for more oil could cause the price to increase is astounding. I know this old hag Democrat doesn’t believe it but how many idiotic voters out there actually think drilling for oil, building more refineries and having more gas is going to increase the price? Unbelievable.

My Energy Manifesto:

* Cease all ethanol production. It requires more energy to make than it yields and the unintended consequence is higher food costs. Corn production shifted from feed-corn to subsidized corn for ethanol. Just say "no" to ethanol!

* Immediately create only ONE "blend" of gasoline and cease regional "boutique" blends which are stupid, costly, and meaningless. Even if this is the "cleanest" blend, just make it ONE and be done with it. Trucking custom blends around the country is wasteful.

* Lift the restrictions in order to drill for oil in Alaska, Gulf of Mexico, and other sites in the CONUS as a matter of national security.

* Encourage the petro industry to construct state-of-the-art refineries and/or retrofit current and dormant ones and crank up production for our newly-found oil in the CONUS.

* Make all “carbon credit” scams unlawful. Discrediting Algore should have been a slam-dunk a long time ago. Stop electing Reps who buy into the Global Warming Hoax.

* Construct SEVERAL, regional Pebble-Bed Reactors (or other similar modern designs) that are not considered "breeders", are rechargeable, and cleaner than any current nuclear generator design.

* Use the residual heat from the reactors above to process motor fuel from coal and/or shale. Even though Clinton "stole" some of the best coal reserves, we still have a lot to use.

* Become independent enough to make the cartels (i.e. OPEC) inconsequential.

* Convince local taxing bodies to lift or cap the sales tax on gasoline so that as gas prices go up, the local tax collectors don’t see a windfall revenue jump at the expense of the consumer. The Federal government could compel the states (and locals) to cap the fuel taxes.

yeah, so let’s let the DemocRATS “fix” the problem when they get in the position where they HAVE to do something.

Oh man, we’re in a world of hurt with lefties in charge.

Oil taxing is the same as taxing everyone who purchases gas. Even the dumbest of dumbest knows all increases get passed on to the people. It won’t hurt the oil people at all.

Debbie Stabenow, like all moonbats, is delusional. The energy problems we face are due exclusively to the antics of the Dims and their radical environmentalist friends. It was the Dims that banned drilling in ANWAR and off the California and Florida coasts; restricted it as to be meaningless in the Gulf of Mexico; refused to allow the mining and refining of Colorado shale; have banned any new refineries and have pretty much killed the coal indusrty. On top of that, they will not allow any new nuclear power plants and they support the bankrupting fraud of ocrn processing into fuel. Finally, they embrace wind-generated power systems but not anywhere where they can see them, lest their pristine views of harbors and beaches and colorful vistas be compromised.

Foul frauds, the lot of them.
