AS Hezbollah's terror army dismantles Lebanon, the world whistles "Ain't That a Shame." With its heavily funded proxies marching through an Arab democracy's ruins, Iran has arrived on the Mediterranean, outflanking Israel.

Syria's surrogates punish Beirut. Lebanon's crippled government cringes at the whims of Hassan Nasrullah, Hezbollah's strongman. Terror rules.

And not one civilized country lifts a finger.

This doesn't mean that war will be avoided at the "negligible" cost of Lebanese lives and freedom. It just means that the inevitable showdown with Hezbollah will be a bloodier mess when it finally comes.

When will we face reality? Hezbollah can't be appeased. Hezbollah can't be integrated into a democratic government and domesticated. And Hezbollah, whose cadres believe that death is a promotion, can't be deterred by wagging fingers and flyovers.

Hezbollah, our mortal enemy, must be destroyed. But we - Israel, the United States, Europe - lack the will. And will is one thing Hezbollah and its backers in Iran and Syria don't lack: They'll kill anyone and destroy anything to win.

We won't. We still think we can talk our way out of a hit job. Not only are we reluctant to kill those bent on killing us - we don't even want to offend them.

Wait until we get a Dem president and a fully Dem congress. You can be sure that Hezbollah (read: Iran) will turn up the heat. Our cowardly, worthless political hacks will work triple overtime to appease them, even pay them. This is going to get much worse.

Oh Israel has the will. But the U.S. and Europe has made them pull back and out when ever they have made an attempt.

Obama is the very definition of an appeaser and a pacifist. I've never heard him even mention that there may be times when the use of force is both legitimate and necessary. He only advocates talking with the enemy, and understanding their grievances, in order to better appease them. The Iranians and their proxy armies can't wait until this naive fool becomes president.

“When will we face reality?” Since when is it our problem? Let the Middle East stand up and be counted if they don’t want Hezbollah. Let the Arabs pull their armies togther and fight Hezbolla. Take the shackles off of Israel and let them go to all out war against Hexbolla. It does us no good to send our kids over there. When that region of the world becomes a threat to us, we can go in and go in full force with everything we have.....and I mean everything. Time is fast approaching that this whole bunch of crap is going to have to come to an end.
