Attention Hunter fans! He is on CSPAN for the next hour!
Hunter ping
Thanks for the ping! Answering this bozo’s non question reminds me again that Hunter is the man that should be our nominee.
I am still writing him in for President, 2008, come what may!
Watching..
:)
I’d like to see Hunter run for the U.S. Senate in 2010 against Boxer.
The only way we are going to turn this whole mess around is for true blue conservatives to “step up to the plate” and start running for local, state and federal offices including governorhsips which is the only way we are ever going to get another conservative elected POTUS is with a better field of conservative governors to choose from.
And we all should do all we can to encourage and support those folks.
some caller is getting all worked up now. he really worked himself into a frenzy. Duncan with a great comeback, though. LOL!
Ever get the urge to strangle someone?
In a normal world this guy would have been the Republican nominee.
yes. it usually subsides after about three minutes or so, though.
He would have been the greatest. We would have almost 100% united FR support behind him, that’s for sure.
Sure...why not :)
Congressman Duncan Hunter makes me proud to have voted for him for President...
he is cool under fire and is extremely knowledgeable and intelligent...
What a great Commander in Chief he would be...
:)
This election cycle makes no sense at all.
My goodness, its.....FR-Hunterite REUNION Time!!!
I wonder if he will make a comeback in 2012?
Compared to Hunter, what we have left to choose from collectively probably don’t have two brain cells to rub together to compose a sensible thought.
I donated to Hunter Jr, even though I’m not in his district.
I don’t know of anyone in the SF Bay Area-oh wait a minute-isn’t there somebody around Pleasanton or San Ramon?
I forgot his name.
I wish MSM could experience a mass infiltration of stealth conservatives. That’s my dream of a “Fairness Doctrine”.
IMHO, MSM does shut out conservatives.
That last call was precisely why I don’t watch C-Span. Liberals are insane. Not a decent bone in that caller’s body.
Anyway, thanks for the thread. Great to hear Rep. Hunter speak.
He has the knowledge and the temperment to be a great president.
I seldom listen to cspan. No wonder this country is going the way it is. If these callers are representive of the population, this is one ignorant country.
The segment with Hunter ended about 15 min ago. Now there’s just some mental defects calling in. You know the usual c-span callers: people claiming to be republican yet spewing the typical far left BS about Bush and the war. All this why the host sits there as if in a coma. I hardly ever watch c-span anymore.
CSPUN is every bit as guilty as the rest of the MSM when it comes to subtly trying to manipulate voter opinion.
If you’ve paid any attention to them on a regular basis you can tell by the way the cover the candidates and the way they screen the calls.
There are usually a couple of “lifelong” republicans who’ve “become democrats” so they can vote for Obama because they can’t take the lying, hypocrisy, Bush, or whatever anymore.
The manipulation of MSM is so transparent it’s almost laughable.
We do have some absolutely boneheaded voters, don’t we?
Are you talking about Tom McClintock?
I am going back to not watching CSpan. These callers are driving up my blood pressure. What morons. God help us.
No, but if I ever get the chance to vote for him again I will. I was one of the idiots who voted for Arnold with the silly delusions of name recognition and that the in-laws weren’t going to be a problem.
I rightly hang my head in shame when I remember this.
Sure feels good doesn't it? Unfortunately I missed the show!! If I can I will check later to see if it can be viewed.
I believe he might have really turned this country around.
I’m furious at the media for shutting him out and sticking us with McCain.
Thanks for the ping, Califreak. Thanks for this link, Walter. God must have something very special in mind for Rep. Duncan Lee Hunter.
Good to see you, Ros
I can’t wait to find out what it is!
I agree. He had my vote!
I found Representative Hunter to clearly be the best candidate in 2008.
“Id like to see Hunter run for the U.S. Senate in 2010 against Boxer.”
Me, too!
“If these callers are representive of the population, this is one ignorant country. “
Exactly. Just like the parties want them to be...ignorant.
McCain Supporters Farthest Off the Mark
WASHINGTON (March 31, 2007) A new poll using neutral language finds that primary and caucus voters have little knowledge of candidates immigration positions. The results also show that voters often do not share their candidates position.
Among the findings: * Only 34 percent of McCain voters, 42 percent of Clinton voters, and 52 percent of Obama voters correctly identified their candidate as favoring eventual citizenship for illegal immigrants who meet certain requirements.
* Of McCain voters, 35 percent mistakenly thought he favored enforcement that would cause illegals to return home, another 10 percent thought he wanted mass deportations, and 21 percent didnt know his position.
* Voters often held different positions from the candidate they supported. Only 31 percent of McCain voters had the same immigration position as he does. For Clinton voters, 45 percent shared her position; 61 percent of Obama voters shared his position.
* This lack of knowledge, coupled with disagreements with their candidates positions, makes it very difficult to draw any conclusions about the fact that all three remaining candidates favor legalization for illegal immigrants.
For results and tables, go to http://www.cis.org/articles/2008/voter_release_08.html
I’m without cable. Someone who watched this, tell me, did Hunter endorse McCain? So far he’s the only one with the integrity to not do so.
The Press-Enterprise
Six names to be added to wall at Veterans Memorial Park in Rubidoux
RUBIDOUX - Six veterans with ties to the Jurupa area, including the father of former presidential candidate Rep. Duncan Hunter, will be honored this Saturday at Veterans Memorial Park.
Robert O. Hunter, Kenneth S. Norton, Ulysses K. Garrett, Frank Medaris, Callis Herbert and Wilson P. Lauritzen, all deceased, will have their names placed on the Veterans Memorial Wall during a pre-Memorial Day ceremony at the park.
All of the men, except for Garrett, were World War II veterans. Garrett served in the U.S. Navy from 1936 to 1940.
Hunter, who served as an artillery officer with the U.S. Marines in the Philippines, was a Jurupa-area builder and Republican political activist.
Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-El Cajon, called his father “the greatest man I ever met.”
“He had an unflagging sense of patriotism,” Hunter said.

“We need more like him and Tancredo in Washington.”
well, they’re both in D.C., it’s that their offices are minor compared to where they could be...
I don’t know anything about CO politics but I do know that Boxer needs to be “knocked out” of the Senate! LOL
In fact, if we are ever going to turn the mess around; we need a lot of true blue conservatives like them running for local, state and federal offices including the governorships which would give us a better field to choose from for POTUS.
No, he didn't. One caller suggested that Duncan Hunter was sure to be on McCain's short list of veep candidates. Duncan with a wry smile said, "I doubt it".
I'm sure as a Republican, Hunter will vote for McCain but I've always had the feeling that Hunter is not enamored with McCain.
>...did Hunter endorse McCain?...<
I don’t know because I tuned in after Rep. Hunter had his say. Anyone else know?
I think he had some good comments about that when on the show.
The Cong. and I might differ over John McCain, but that's OK. Hunter is not a chronic complainer about things (as I can tend to be!), even to the extent of himself being screwed out of the GOP nomination by being screwed out some of the most critical debates and news coverage...Duncan Hunter still gets my support for any future office he runs for in our Land.
I missed Duncan Hunter, but sometimes C-Span has replays.
For those who don’t have cable:
Listen Live on CSpan
http://www.cspan.org/watch/cspan_rm.asp?Cat=TV&Code=CS
What was the topic?
That is so scary.
When he was asked about the possibility of a VP, he snorted and sad, “I don’t think so!”
Obviously not, since him and McCain are polar opposites on just about everything.
I’m sure Juan wouldn’t ask him because of that and I doubt that Hunter would be able to tolerate working as Juan’s subordinate for 4 long tortuous years. LOL!
