The problem is, with a Democrat Senate which is filibuster proof, what nominations will get through? Does McCain have the partisan courage to stick it out when they do not?
His reach across to the opposition strategy dies on this issue. Then what?
Does the Supreme Court have to be “fully staffed” or have a quorum to decide cases? I don't think it does. So if the liberal justices die off or are incapacitated, the conservatives will be in even more of a majority without new ones being appointed, won't they?
