BREAKING NEWS - AP's Jennifer Loven: "RIYADH, Saudi Arabia President Bush, on a one-day visit to Saudi Arabia, is taking a second stab on Friday at getting the oil-rich nation to increase production and drive down the soaring gasoline prices hurting U.S. consumers.
When Air Force One landed in the Saudi capital on Friday, the president got a red carpet welcome on the tarmac and was warmly greeted by Saudi leaders as a military band played the U.S. national anthem, slightly off-key. Bush was spending the day with Abdullah at his horse farm outside Riyadh, talking mostly out of public view over three tea services and two meals."
IRAN in the background The White House releases, "Fact Sheet: Strengthening Diplomatic Ties With Saudi Arabia United States And Saudi Arabia Improve Peace And Stability In The Region Through Nuclear Cooperation."
Good Friday morning. Tracy Sefl is set to come home from the hospital tomorrow.
A mischievous DAVID BROOKS headline today: "Obama Admires Bush" - as in, 41: "Obama doesn't broadcast moral disgust when talking about terror groups, but he said [in an interview] that in some ways he'd be tougher than [this] Bush administration. He said he would do more to arm the Lebanese military and would be tougher on North Korea. 'This is not an argument between Democrats and Republicans,' he concluded. 'It's an argument between ideology and foreign policy realism. I have enormous sympathy for the foreign policy of George H. W. Bush. I don't have a lot of complaints about their handling of Desert Storm. I don't have a lot of complaints with their handling of the fall of the Berlin Wall.'

Bush to the Saudis - "Oh please! Please! Have mercy on us! We can't drill on our own soil because we're afraid violating the civil rights of the lichen and the moss!"
What a disgrace we are.

I have enormous sympathy for the foreign policy of George H. W. Bush. I don't have a lot of complaints about their handling of Desert Storm. I don't have a lot of complaints with their handling of the fall of the Berlin Wall.
That must be why Bush won in a landslide in 1992.

I agree, but it’s telling that it’s easier for an American president to get the king of Saudi Arabia to help the American Economy than it is to get Nancy Pelosi and the American Left to help the American Economy.

You're right, but it's still pathetic. Bush should be there for the sole reason of giving him the date at which we will start drilling in ANWAR.
I don't see a whole lot of difference in the end....Nancy Pelosi and her lefty tribe, or Bush over there begging for cheap fuel. What a dishonorable bunch of turds. Frankly, I'm ashamed to be associated with any of them!

The difference is - IF a Democrat is elected, they'll start drilling for oil on November 6. IF a Republican is elected, they'll refuse to drill until at least 2013.
It's a form of extortion.
To: Question Liberal Authority
I've stopped trying to guess. I think everybody's guess is as good as anybody elses. But it's gonna certainly be a "show", and that's for sure!
Extortion...but of course! The basic premise of American politics! Extortion, vote selling (a form of extortion), and pandering! What would we be without it? :-)

Obama is a cry baby. He would just dissolve into a puddle of goo if he got lambasted on daily basis by MSM. Obama is not presidential timber.

If....may Heaven forbid.....Barry HUSSEIN Snobama actually gets into the White House, the first time some foreign leader/Al Queda/Hamas/Hezbollah terrorist/other piece of trash says anything “not nice” or “mean” to him, Snobama will bawl like a two year old and mommy Michelle will have to intervene. Thing is, mommy Michelle has got one of those mean look faces that with one glance would probably scare the hell out of them. She looks like she’d be a meaner witch than Queen Evita Hillary, which is saying a lot, since Queen Evita is one nasty mean witch.
