Here’s the news short and sweet–if you have a copy of the Michelle Obama video, in which she is lambasting white people (four different sources say she uses “whitey” as an epithet) at Jeremiah Wright’s church, then there is an ultra conservative Republican billionaire who wants to pay your $1 million dollars for the tape. Why? He hates John McCain. Conservative Republicans refer to John McCain as a Marxist and a sell out (and those are the nice comments). The billionaire in question believes Barack is a very weak candidate and, if he gets the Democratic nod, then McCain will surely be President. Especially after the October “surprise” of Michelle Obama railing against whitey. The billionaire wants to preempt McCain and Rove and has put the word out thru conservative networks that there is a $1 million dollar bounty for the person or persons who produce the tape.
I got this info courtesy of a major Republican operative. I am told that Karl Rove and his political allies control the tape where Michelle Obama has a Stokely Carmichael moment of sorts. Rove and company reportedly are showing the tape to big money Republicans to loosen up their wallets and get new money to fund independent expenditure groups. That’s why news of this is starting to leak out. The money is being raised for 527 groups that will target the Democrats in the fall.
A retired CIA buddy is friends with a lawyer who saw the tape. This lawyer, who has a stellar reputation for being very low-key, described the video clip of Michelle’s anti-white rant as, “stunning.” My guess is that the billionaire who detests John McCain is probably going to find someone who will comes up with the tape. So there you have it, someone is looking for “Whitey.” If they find it they get a pay day. If not, you will have to wait till October to watch it.
No doubt, if such a tape exists it has been found by Hillary operatives and will be used shortly - either in the run up to the Oregon primary next week, or perhaps in August to sway the Super Delegates (the more likely timing, in my opinion)
For the Hillary campaign, as always with Hillary, the issue is not: "should we?" It's "how can we get away with it?"
The answer is simple and obvious: BLAME IT ON ROVE. But how? Why would Rove want the ultimate bombshell released in August, not October? Thus the cock-and-bull story we see here. It's so laughable on its face that it would only be believable to ... well you know, the usual suspects. The same ones who think that Rove stole both the 2000 and 2004 elections, and should be arrested any day now for something, they are not quite sure what, etc. In other words what used to be the kook leftist fringe of the Democratic party but is now right in the center. The Kos Kids. The Air America kool-aide drinkers. The Black Caucus of the US House. The drooling idiots over at MS-NBC. Abrams. Keith Olberman.
So as absurd as this story is with secret billionaires, un-named 527s, a retired Karl Rove in the middle of it all -- expect that, if this is dropped, for the next 20 years you will be hearing that ROVE and the REPUBLICANS did it, not darling Hillary.
Sickening, but likely effective.

Yes, Jack, I saw this same thing on townhall - I think there’s some truth to it as well, Johnson’s trying to play games here again, Hillary WILL pull that trigger.
What’s interesting is the way this story is gaining traction. When the Obabma-is-gay rumor started a few months back it never took off- the guy who was making the claims didn’t seem to have much credibility.
This story is now getting read about at Townhall- which lends the rumor some weight- at least in my mind.

Yes, I agree. That “McCain hating billionaire” is total BS. It is designed to keep the Kos Kids from burning ‘witch’ effgies on the set of “Countdown” when the Obama-god’s campaign is driven over the cliff by this revelation.

A video tape from the TUCC? These things were available for sale to anyone, and it is safe to assume that there were News Orgs and private concerns that ordered all of them and have already watched them, seeing that the DVD’s were all the same, a outfit like the AP or Fox or the local news channel would have -0- reason to sit on such a DVD knowing that other News outlets had it as well.
The only way this flies is “if” this was a privately made video that somehow filtered out to someone and in the age of Do everything cellphones, that can take video, it is possible but no likely IMO, the Obama’s have been very careful about hiding their true natures...

Why not use Barack’s own words? In 1995 Hank De Zutter’s article “What Makes Obama Run?” in the Chicago Reader [http://www.chicagoreader.com/features/stories/archive/barackobama/] quoted Obama as stating “that white Americans couldn’t care less about the profound problems African-Americans are facing.” If the quote is correct, Obama not only made a racial generalization, but one that imputes evil to the targets of the generalization. It would be evil for any American, white or otherwise to be uncaring about problems facing African-Americans. Perhaps Obama can justify the statement if the media ever gets around to asking him about it.

Say what you will about Novak, there is a reason he is called “The Prince of Darkness”. He knows more than anyone what’s going on, and he protects his sources. If he says Hillary has a bombshell, I am sure she does.

Can anyone find the first source of this rumor? I’m thinking it was Johnson himself who broke the rumor. If so that seems to add credibility to the idea that it’s a Hillary bomb, not a McCain bomb. Consider this article (the second on his web site on the topic) an attempt to repair the damage and help Hillary dissassociate.
That’s because sex scandals have been taken off the table. Too much MAD on both sides.
