Maybe all these ‘pre-humans’ were just Satan’s failed attempts to recreate what God had achieved with Adam and Eve? Hmmm...

Where is that in the Bible?

First ever? HAH! The anthropologists have probably been burnin them for decades. Or there’s a huge collection of them buried in some basement somewhere.

But now, with the discovery of ancient chimps and humans in the same area, evolutionists may have to rethink what caused humans to become humans.

That answer is easy:

Genesis 2:7 then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.

Free Republic isn’t in the Bible—does that mean it can’t possibly exist? :-)

Note the ‘maybe’ in my statement. No claims it came from the Bible. :-)

IMHO, one day evolution scientists will be led to the conclusion (as many have already come to) that intelligent design, ie. God, had His Hand in this.

Romans 14:10-12 - Why do you pass judgment on your brother? Or you, why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God; for it is written,

“As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me,
and every tongue shall confess to God.”

So then each of us will give an account of himself to God.

IIRC, there were a bunch of unnamed sisters as well as Able and Cain, not just Eve.

FreeRepublic isn't part of theology.

Creos don’t read any thing but the Bible, books by people who only read the Bible or about conversations held by people who only read the Bible. There are those who only read the KJV and repeat the process above.....

Raises questions? There are people out there who actually believe they evolved from a monkey?

Yes, unless there were numerous Adams and Eves made around the world—see Genesis Chapter 5 for genaeology info on Adam and his descendants.

Dont you know that evolution is as real as the air we breathe to them and there is nothing that their theory cannot account for either by reforming the theory and/or by adding a new theory to buttress it up.

A major reason why evolutionist arguments can sound so persuasive (to some) is because they often combine assertive dogma with intimidating, dismissive ridicule towards anyone who dares to disagree with them. Evolutionists wrongly believe that their views are validated by persuasive presentations invoking scientific terminology and allusions to a presumed monopoly of scientific knowledge and understanding on their part. But they haven’t come close to demonstrating evolutionism to be more than an ever-changing theory with a highly questionable and unscientific basis. (The situation isn’t helped by poor science education generally. Even advanced college biology students often understand little more than the dogma of evolutionary theory, and few have the time [or the guts] to question its scientific validity.)

You speculated about Satan’s failed attempts to recreate what God had achieved with Adam and Eve. I’m wondering where you got that from if not your own imagination.

Um...lots of speculation from people’s imaginations on this thread (especially those who BELIEVE Darwin was right and God had no hand in the Creation of All Things)—I was just speculating right along with them, hence the ‘maybe’ in my statement. No big challenge to religious philosophy, I assure you! :-)

Harsh words, but your opinion is welcome, even to Christians like me who find Evolution without God’s influence ‘perverted’.

“Calling evolution a religion or a hoax is hardly different than criticizing the President without offering an alternative. What is the alternative theory to evolution?”

I’m an ahtheist, and I have no use for either ID or evolution. Why does there have to be an alternative? What if the so-called fossil record is never explained? What difference would it make?

Why can’t evolutionists admit they just don’t know where we came from—nobody does. I certainly don’t believe any one designed life, it’s to poor a design. Don’t see how it could have evolved either, no matter how many plausible stories the evolutionists make up.

Just one question. Why is it so important to know where we came from? Isn’t it more important to get on with life and determine where we’re going?

Even if evolution were true, what good would it be? It’s not like physics or chemistry or medicine which can actually be used to produce things of value and improve the quality of human life. Except for providing prestiguous jobs for a bunch of pseudo-intellectuals, what possible value would evolution be?

Hank
