"NEWBERG, Ore. -- Police have arrested the man suspected of driving drunk and causing a multi-vehicle crash that killed a mother of seven from Dayton last weekend.

Senior Trooper Mark McDougal arrested 26-year-old Leonel Zurita Loeza of Portland on charges of assault, manslaughter, criminal mischief, reckless driving and driving under the influence of intoxicants.

An offhand note...Maryland is an amnesty state AND a lot of the counties have DRIVE-UP WINDOWS at their liquor stores. Not too bright are they?

I was told once the reason, being drunk your reaction time is slower. A sober person tenses up before impact resulting in a harder blow whereas the drunks’ timing is off and absorbs the impact differently.

I always ask myself that. I was told by a health teacher back in middle school that drunks survive because their bodies are relaxed?
