Jay Sekulow on 'Same-Sex Marriage' Case

By a vote of 4-3, the California Supreme Court struck down a state ban on same-sex marriage – changing the definition of marriage by judicial fiat.

The decision is a disappointing one and represents another example of an activist judiciary that overreached by taking this issue out of the hands of the state legislature where it belongs.

The California high court failed to uphold what the state legislature and an overwhelming majority of California voters clearly understand – that the institution of marriage is limited to one man and one woman.

This travesty has accomplished TWO things:

1. It has increased the ire against the gay community and their “in your face” attitude toward the normal voting majority.

2. It has again proven that the extreme left continues its modus operandi of moving their far leftist agenda from the voting public to small, biased courts of liberal activists to further their selfish, perverted agenda.

Right on both counts and McCain has to keep beating the drum of “activist judges,” until November.

California Court Legalizes Same-Sex “Marriage”

In a 4-3 decision, the California Supreme Court declared same-sex “marriage” legal in the state. The Court’s ruling came in a case filed by gay couples who were married at San Francisco City Hall in 2004, when Mayor Gavin Newsom (D) was issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples. The decision overturns a 2000 voter-approved measure that declared marriage to be a union between a man and a woman.

In the decision, Chief Justice Ron George wrote “The notion that a marriage can only be between a man and woman is outmoded. Times change. Our laws must change with them.”

The opinion also cited a University of California demographic study that forecast a majority homosexual state population by the year 2033. “Inasmuch as research indicates that a majority of the state’s population will eventually be homosexual, it seems prudent that we accommodate this emerging majority by granting them the full rights of citizenship now.” George wrote. “To not do so would establish a precedent that would permit this homosexual majority to outlaw heterosexual marriage.”

California voters: your vote doesn’t mean much to Chief Justice Ron “King” George. After all, what are mere votes to someone who has the power to rule by decree?

Well, on a positive note....this segment of the population will be gone by 2100...or earlier (considering the health implications.

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph! Did I read this right? The majority population of the state of California will be homosexual by 2033? This may sound like a kooky question to some, but ‘How’? What percentage of the overall U.S. population are they expecting homosexuals to comprise?

Yeah ... right ... because they multiply like rabbits, right? This sounds like either research done by Scrappleface or wishful thinking done by Barney Frank.

In reality, liberal socialists never debate anything. They lie, they dodge, they spin, but they never address reality or facts. If they did, America still might be a conservative, patriotic Constitutional Republic....because the libs would have been gone a long time ago.

My dream.
