The Comicle loved McCain until it became apparent that he would be the nominee. Now, they're back to campaigning for the Generic Democrat.

unless he sat in Hagee’s pew for 20 years, they cannot associate the two situations. Obama had to agree with Wright or he would not have selected the man’s church.

Divide and conquer.
I would hardly call Hagee a televangelist.

Republican presidential candidates have their crushes on California, the girl they can’t get, but they spend fortunes trying. I could care less about where McCain campaigns, whether or not he wins or loses or how his own media party turns on him, but I can’t help wondering why he isn’t campaigning where it might make a difference. Is there internal polling that makes California look like it is in play?

Be nice if someone gave McCain an admirals hat, a toy battleship, and a illegal immigrant crew.
Then he could put them all in a big bathtub, grab his little rubber ducky and play his games without threatening the U.S.A..

Have these people ever read the transcript of Lincoln’s second inaugural address? Trying to see the hand of God in even the most tragic of circumstances is a long standing Christian tradition and is hardly controversial.

I don’t remember McCain “eagerly seeking” crap. Jeez, what a lie-fill rag.

Hagee is not now nor has he ever been McCain’s pastor.
By this standard should not Barack Obama be accountable for Louis Farrakkhan and a host of jihadist middle eastern imams?

"We need a way for an ordinary person to apply for citizenship in this country in a way that they can count on and trust."
We already have that. The citzenship process exists and has been working fine for decades. The only problem with it is that so many illegals are allowed to be here that the honest immigrants who wait in line and follow the rules don't get to come in.

Just another example of McCain following the RINO playbook - just hurry to throw anybody under the bus to appease the libs. Of course it never works, because the RINOs just give the libs ammo to continue the beatdown.
I’m still looking for a candidate with backbone and conviction.

My hope is McCain goes home in November a bitter and broken man with conservatives NOT voting for him.

was that ever true ?
To: SmithL
Troubles are "piling up" What, exactly are they speaking about? Hagee has no connection to McCain save he endorsed him. No one can control whether another endorses him and all they can do is accept or reject the endorsement. McCain rejected this endorsement after learning more about the Reverend. McCain also never attended services by this reverend unlike Hussein who did so for 20 years.
Hussein has made gaffe after gaffe while McCain as far as I know hasn't made any. Seems like the lib rag is whistling past the graveyard on this one.

Facing a pile of controversial campaign troubles - including incendiary comments by televangelist John Hagee that forced him to reject Hagee's endorsement - Sen. John McCain tried mightily to shift the focus to economic issues and his Democratic opponent Barack Obama on Thursday during a California campaign swing."
English Translation: Facing a continuing civil war between Hillary and B.O., the MSM wing of the democRat party frantically attempts to manufacture a pile of controversial campaign troubles to use against McCain.

McCain, speaking at a Silicon Valley forum on economic issues alongside Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, issued a renewed call for "comprehensive immigration reform" as a top agenda item for the next president. He called for a "temporary agricultural program," saying, "We need a way for an ordinary person to apply for citizenship in this country in a way that they can count on and trust."
"Temporary agricultural program", or Stealth Amnesty as I like to call it...
