It gets worse. The Wikipedia entry for the Decemberists was edited by someone AFTER the band opened for Obama who claimed, and I paraphrase, that the song is not about the Bolshevik revolution. Who added this information, (still noted by Wiki editors as “uncited”) and why did they think they needed to do this right after the band opened for Obama? Talk about a memory hole. This kind of manipulation is straight out of Stalin’s playbook.

If you go to the "News" section of the band's website, there is an announcement that they would be playing at the Obama event, with a link to more information about the event on the Obama website. The information on the Obama link includes the following:

"Special Guest Performance by: Colin Meloy, Chris Funk, Jenny Conlee, Nate Query, and John Moen"

Now why would you list the band members by name instead of the name of the band?
