The Bureau of the Census projects that by 2050 non-Hispanic whites will be 50% of the population, down from the 89% they were in 1965. Hispanics will be 25%. The Pew Research center estimates that by 2050, non-Hispanic whites will be 47% of the population and Hispancs of all colors will be 29%.

This huge demographic shift is primarily due to immigration, legal and illegal.

Sometimes I wonder how many other young couples are waiting too long to have children because they ‘cannot afford it’ :(
A poor man’s riches are his children though. Every time I go to visit my mom in NY, ther are more and more people moving in, more and more kids and I can totally see the white and black birth rates taking the great plunge together in the big cities. OTOH, the young white girls where I are have their kids young and lots at a time, three at a time. I hate to say this but it’s so strange to see large white families then go to New York and see one or two kids. So there’s my race/ethnic commentary for the weekend!
