From Dreams of My Father, “ I FOUND A SOLACE IN NURSING A PERVASIVE SENSE OF GRIEVANCE AND ANIMOSITY AGAINST MY MOTHER’S RACE”.

From ‘Dreams of my Father’, “THE EMOTION BETWEEN THE RACES COULD NEVER BE PURE...THE OTHER RACE WOULD ALWAYS REMAIN JUST THAT; MENACING, ALIEN AND APART.”

From ‘Dreams of My Father’,
“I CEASED TO ADVERTISE MY MOTHER’S RACE AT THE AGE OF 12 OR 13, WHEN I BEGAN TO SUSPECT THAT BY DOING SO I WAS INGRATIATING MYSELF TO WHITES.”

From Dreams Of My Father, “NEVER EMULATE THE WHITE MEN and brown men whose fates didn’t speak to my own. IT WAS INTO MY FATHER’S IMAGE, THE BLACK MAN, SON OF AFRICA, THAT I’D PACKED ALL THE ATTRIBUTES I SOUGHT IN MYSELF”.

From Dreams Of My Father:
“THAT HATE HADN’T GONE AWAY,” he wrote, BLAMING “WHITE PEOPLE— some cruel, some IGNORANT, sometimes a single face, sometimes just a faceless image of a system claiming power over our lives.”

From Dreams Of My Father;
“There were enough of us on campus to constitute a tribe, and when it came to hanging out many of us chose to function like a tribe, staying close together, traveling in packs,” he wrote. “IT REMAINED NECESSARY TO PROVE WHICH SIDE YOU WERE ON, TO SHOW YOUR LOYALTY TO THE BLACK MASSES, TO STRIKE OUT, AND NAME NAMES. “

From Dreams Of My Father, “I HAD GROWN ACCUSTOMED , everywhere, TO SUSPICIONS BETWEEN THE RACES.”

Quote from Barack Obama’s book, Dreams Of My Father:
“THE PERSON WHO MADE ME PROUDEST OF ALL, though, was [HALF BROTHER ] ROY .. HE CONVERTED TO ISLAM” .

From ‘Dreams of my Father’, “IN INDONESIA, I HAD SPENT TWO YEARS AT A MUSLIM SCHOOL.”
“I STUDIED THE KORAN.”

From ‘Audacity of Hope: “LOLO (Obama’s step father) FOLLOWED .. ISLAM...” “I LOOKED TO LOLO FOR GUIDANCE”.

From ‘The Audacity Of Hope, “I WILL STAND WITH THE MUSLIMS SHOULD THE POLITICAL WINDS SHIFT IN AN UGLY DIRECTION.”

From The Audacity Of Hope, “WE ARE NO LONGER just A CHRISTIAN NATION..We ARE also a Jewish nation, A MUSLIM NATION, a Buddhist nation, a Hindu nation, and a nation of nonbelievers.”

Never apologize for them.
Never appease them.
Never forget.

It's times like these that make me feel like I am living in a world gone completely mad.

Americans DO recognize the facts. What you see is an image -- a propagandist offering carefully crafted to leverage the fringe that exist in any population.

That's why the times feel weird: because the media images contradict what everyone knows is reality.

Here are two articles that go into some detail about Senator Obama's "community organizer" background:

Obama’s Account of New York Years Often Differs From What Others Say (New York Times)

Barack Obama's unlikely political education. (The New Republic)

I didn't realize that he was such a student of Alinsky that he actually taught others on the subject:

Obama's self-conception as an organizer isn't just a campaign gimmick. Organizing remained central to Obama long after his stint on the South Side. In the 13 years between Obama's return to Chicago from law school and his Senate campaign, he was deeply involved with the city's constellation of community-organizing groups. He wrote about the subject. He attended organizing seminars. He served on the boards of foundations that support community organizing. He taught Alinsky's concepts and methods in workshops. When he first ran for office in 1996, he pledged to bring the spirit of community organizing to his job in the state Senate. And, after he was elected to the U.S. Senate, his wife, Michelle, told a reporter, "Barack is not a politician first and foremost. He's a community activist exploring the viability of politics to make change." Recalling her remark in 2005, Obama wrote, "I take that observation as a compliment."

By defining himself as a "community organizer" above all else, Obama is linking himself to America's radical democratic tradition and presenting himself as an heir to a particular political style and methodology that, at least superficially, contrasts sharply with the candidate Obama has become.

(Above is from the New Republic article, with my emphasis added).

I would be unsurprised if Senator Obama gets McGovern-like numbers in the general election.

I don't think that there is a lot to appeal to anyone who is not on the extreme left-wing; while the Democrat party clearly has such a wing active in this electoral season, I don't think that it is going to be much of a factor in the general election.

Thanx...I can’t find the article (written before Obma becoming OBAMA) showing the time line in narrative form.
I’m betting the only reason Wright was Barack’s pastor was because Wright was Michelle’s pastor first.

How I pray that you are right.

I truly fear that if Obama wins, then our Republic will be transformed into a third-world toilet with Islamic terrorists coming here for Beslan style attacks.

All the while, Obama's thought police will label Conservative talk radio as hate speech, and put many of us bloggers into prison.

The whole idea behind American government is to protect the republic from being undone by a president off the deep end. The only way it can happen is if citizens don't exercise self-goverment.

Granted, we haven't done so very well in recent generations, and Bill Clinton did a lot to reduce the will of the people in America. I think some of what you fear would be barely the remotest possibility in a two term presidency under normal conditions; however, with Clinton having laid the groundwork, and being in a post 9-11 world, there is much to be concerned about (but not as much as you express, imho).

Maybe when we remember our brave Vets in a special way tomorrow, we can ask ourselves, if you'll pardon the citation, "what can we do for our country," and have the courage to live the answer?

Sorry, America managed to survive some socialist scums before. FDR, Possum Man Carter, “The Commander-in-Heat”.

I hope an Obanination Presidency does not happen, but America will be here when Obama is gone.

Hopefully, Nov. 3 will prove me right.
