Carter sees superdelegates prompting Clinton to quit

1 hour, 54 minutes ago

Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter said on Sunday he expects Democratic superdelegates to reveal their choice for presidential nominee soon after the final primary in June and that Hillary Clinton will then have to quit the race.

In an interview with Sky News, Carter said he did not think Clinton was achieving anything by staying in the fight.

"I think not. But of course she has the perfect right to do so," he said while attending a literary festival in Britain.

"I'm a superdelegate ... I think a lot of the superdelegates will make a decision quite, announced quite rapidly, after the final primary on June 3," he told Sky News.

"I have not yet announced publicly, but I think at that point it will be time for her to give it up," Carter said.

No surprise Carter is in Obama’s camp. Obama would be an ever worse President then he was finally getting Jimmy off the list as the Worst President ever.

He did, he 'gave it up' to the Iranians, to the Sandinistas, to the Palestinians, to the North Koreans, to Hamas, to Castro, to Chavez, hey: you name the enemy of the United States, the odds are that Jimmy STP Carter has been happy to bend over and "give up that booty" to 'em.

Someone could just come along and pop a cap into Obama - she said as much herself.

You left out "hope". Hope is a very important part of "change and hope". They go together like soup and sandwich or horse and carriage.

See?

Meet the Press: Got the impression that Obama WILL take Hillary as VP....but only because it will help him win the Presidency.

But will it? No one knows how many anti-Hillary votes were cast for Obama. Buyer beware!!

Obama mentioned being a Lincoln fan (Duh)...and someone said Lincoln took in all his opponents as Cabinet Members.

I’m going with Tammy Bruce’s hypothesis of yesterday.

Madame Hillary is discretely holding the Dem party hostage. If she doesn’t get to be prez on a Hillary/Obama ticket then she’ll go third party and sink Barack.

Nobody knows how many Republicans crossed over to vote for her - with no intention of doing so in November.

I think more of an issue should be made about Carter’s trip to Venezuela to legitimize the Hugo Chavez election results. One must ask themselves, if this were Colombia or Chile would Carter the Democrat be there to legitimize their elections?

The obvious answer would be no, he only legitimizes thugs and enemies of the United States.

My sentiments exactly. Carter has a vested interest in Obama knowing he can go to his grave out of worst place. Other than Schumer, Carter has the most consistent record being wrong.

Jimmah thinks, "all the world needs now is Love Sweet Love, that's the only thing that there's just too little of"

However, the enemy thinks.." I hate you America, and thanks Jimmah for making us look credible!"

Jimmah you're a big peanut pushin dumb a$$!

Since Superdelegates were formed to stop President Goober it is interesting that he would say that. The man who declares what are free and fair elections is a non-elected representative.

Superdelegates are a fraud that disenfranchises millions of voters.

Jimmy Carter seeing peace and harmony and acceptance and tolerance in Saudi Arabia.

He sees good characteristics in dictators like Fidel Castro.

He sees killer bunnies hunting him.

And he sees lust in his heart.

Jimmy Carter is a doofus who should be ignored in ANY presidential discussions.

Carter will remain among the worst US presidents in the 20th Century. It’s a new day for Obama. He has his own “worst of the century” or even “millenium” list he can get on.

"I'm a superdelegate ...."

"I'm a superdip$hit" There, fixed it.

Here's hoping that Jimmy learns to STFU - that disgrace to our nation and the presidency has no shame, no dignity. If he really loves his country, he'll do what any respectable former President has done - go home, write a couple of books, play golf or go fishing, and leave the world to your successors. Take a hint from Bush 41.

Thank you, Jimmy, for Chinese control of the Panama Canal, for a radical and soon-to-be-nuclear Iran, for the Russian invasion of Afghanistan, and for the gaslines and your accusation that the American public had a "malaise." YOU were our malaise, and I am supremely proud to have cast my first vote for President to kick your sorry cracker @$$ out of the White House in favor of Ronaldus Maximus.

Though I'll do nothing to cause or aid in his demise, I won't be in mourning whenever it comes.

Jimmy Carter and family back Obama

Former President Jimmy Carter, a Democratic superdelegate, hinted Thursday he's backing Sen. Barack Obama.

"My children and their spouses are pro-Obama. My grandchildren are also pro-Obama," Carter told a Nigerian newspaper on a trip to Abuja. "As a superdelegate, I would not disclose who I am rooting for, but I leave you to make that guess."

why should she quit. this is her lifes dream
all the republicans I liked immediately left the race when they found they were not winning

I think the only one left in the republican race is ron paul, and of course McCain.

why does she have to step down.

it makes the race more interesting to have more than one candidate running in each party.

Funny coming from Carter. Carter, the George Washington of the Islamic revolution in Iran, got spanked in 1980, but still thinks he has a mandate to direct foriegn policy.
