Okay, here's what everybody needs to understand. Blacks aren't voting Democrat just because it's "in their interest" economically to do so (if it were all economics poor whites would vote Democrat too). It's because the Democrats celebrate the Black culture (even its religion, so similar to that of the "hillbillies"). The hatred of America they are encouraged to feel is balanced out by a fanatical rightwing super-patriotism for "Mother Africa." Their quasi-alliance with gays and atheists never affects them personally. And even the secular, "social justice" preachers preach in the bellowing, twanging, sweating Fundamentalist style. Let the libs spit in the faces of Black folk and appeal to them on economic grounds alone and see how loyal they would be.

Poor whites, on the other hand, are appealed to on economics and nothing else. There is no "Mystical Motherland" appealed to to balance out the "G-d d_mn America" drumbeat. (And what would it be? Holy Ancient Socialist Scotland? The Trailer Park National Liberation Army?) They are told they must jettison all their religious beliefs at once. They are told to hate themselves and be ashamed for all their many failings (identical to the very characteristics that are celebrated in Blacks). And there are no attempts to clothe economic socialism in Fundamentalist terms and style.

All this should be obvious to anyone, but for some reason I seem to be the only one who ever says anything about it. And this hypocrisy, this condemnation in one group of the very things that are encouraged and rewarded in the other, is intentional, because the Hegelian/Marxist worldview demands an "antithesis." And poor whites have been chosen to serve as that antithesis.

It’s not just the white voters who “vote against their own best interest”. Democrats consistently lose black religious conservatives who refuse to stand WITH the Democrats on the issues of same sex marriage, homosexual rights are portrayed as the same civil rights struggle that ended segregation of the black community, and they refuse to stand with the Democrats on abortion on demand.

This is why it is said “they cling to religion”.

The disaffected black voters may not side with the conservative Republican but they may stay home altogether (necessitating “knock and drag” efforts where by thugs come knocking on your door upwards of 3 times on election day to intimidate minorities to go to the polls. You’d better have a real good answer come the third time some thug stands in your doorway and asks “why won’t you go vote today?”.
