Gaza blockade is 'human rights crime': Carter
Yahoo News ^ | 05/25/08 | AFP

In a speech at a literary festival in Hay-on-Wye, in Wales, the 83-year-old Nobel Peace Prize winner said: "There is no reason to treat these people this way," referring to the blockade, in place since the Islamist Hamas movement seized Gaza in June 2007.

While president from 1977 to 1981, Carter was the architect of the landmark 1979 peace deal between Israel and Egypt, the first such treaty between the Jewish state and an Arab country.

According to Carter, the failure of the European Union to support the Palestinian cause was "embarrassing."

He said European countries should be "encouraging the formation of a unity government," including Hamas and Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas's rival Fatah movement.

"They should be encouraging Hamas to have a ceasefire in Gaza alone, as a first step," he told the invited guests.

"They should be encouraging Israel and Hamas to reach an agreement in prisoner exchange and, as a second step, Israel should agree to a ceasefire in the West Bank, which is Palestinian territory."

Carter never says what came first: the chicken or the egg?

He can bring himself to say he'd like to see a one state solution.

He's a coward; an anti-Jew coward.

The “blockade” is to minimize mass murder by the assassins of Gaza, dickhead.

Jimmy Carter = worst President in US history = worst Ex-President in US history.

Hussein Obama = the man to replace Carter’s status. Carter will look good in comparison.

Jewish democrats = idiots par excellence.

"Israel should agree to a ceasefire in the West Bank...

When Israel ceases, the Palis fire. And if they cease for long enough they'll assuredly cease to exist. ....which of course is Carter's dream scenario.

Carter's "human rights" foreign policy only benefited tyrants and dictators during his presidency.

Now, he wants it to benefit terrorists and other anti-civilization types.

Would somebody please lock Jimmy up and throw away the key? I am so sick of hearing his quotations in support of every anti-American group around the world.

What’s embarrasing is that this mentally twisted old fool continues to travel around the world as though he was some kind of spokeman for America. And WE are paying his security bills.

No, Mr. Carter.

I want you and your idiot pal Pelosi tried for treason and public endangerment first.

Arrogantly consulting state sponsors of international terrorism endangers the lives of countless American and Israeli people.

What a fool. What does Jimmy Carter think happened at the Erez Crossing last week where a powerful truck bomb was detonated? That's why Israel maintains a blockade. By definition, the only thing the Palestinians can export is death. I can understand why Israel wants to keep it out of the Jewish State.

"What does Jimmy Carter think"

Don't imagine that this vicious anti-semite "thinks" anything -- he is allied with Israel's terrorist enemies and blindly advocates anything that will weaken Israel's prospects for survival. He has wildly smeared Israel over and over again to try to undermine international support for Israel, which is always precarious anyway. Carter is scum. (wait, that's an insult to scum everywhere)

As bad as Republican Presidents have been, it takes a Dem President like Carter to make the worst of the Repubs look good.

President Mr Carter’s balls shrunk the size of a Philistine hemorrhoid( tumors I Sm 5:6) years ago....now he’s looking forward to eliminating the rest of democratic Israel. He ruined all the beautiful resorts on the Red Sea, the oil the Isreali’s discovered in Sinai..(imagine we could trade oil with an ally) screwed the pooch on the hostage crisis and continues to bumble like Elmer Fudd( “where’s da jooo’s, wh-wh -where’s da jooos?”) through the Middle East. Some one quiet this guy down; feed him a peanut or something, doesn’t he know he’s considered a pig and ape and infidel from those he’s endeavoring to “negotiate”??
