On Slate, no less. I got this off of the CA-firearms mail list this morning, and thought y'all might get a kick out of it.

A "Girls Night Out" at the only shooting range in Manhattan, the Westside Rifle & Pistol Range.

Click here for the vid ===> OK, let's see it.

That was a real cute piece.
I don't know about that rangemaster's story about being able to just walk into a store and buy a gun back in the 60's though. I grew up in NYC and bought my first firearm (a Remington 581 .22 rifle) in '68. I had to jump through more hoops than it took for me to get a CHP here in Louisiana.

When did Abercrombie and Fitch close their in-store shooting range?

That’s where I bought my rifle and I don’t recall there being one then.

I could teach her how to shoot better.

I also go there sometimes.

They had a rifle range in the basement, up through the late 50’s.
