A group in Santa Fe says the city is discriminating against them because they say that they're allergic to the wireless Internet signal. And now they want Wi-Fi banned from public buildings.

Arthur Firstenberg says he is highly sensitive to certain types of electric fields, including wireless Internet and cell phones.

"I get chest pain and it doesn't go away right away," he said.

Firstenberg and dozens of other electro-sensitive people in Santa Fe claim that putting up Wi-Fi in public places is a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The city attorney is now checking to see if putting up Wi-Fi could be considered discrimination.

But City Councilor Ron Trujillo says the areas are already saturated with wireless Internet.

"It's not 1692, it's 2008. Santa Fe needs to embrace this technology, it's not going away," Trujillo said.

The city attorney hopes to have a legal recommendation by the end of the month.

GEEEZZZ............

Don't they have analog television signals flying around the area there? Like for the past 50 or so years, maybe more?

No analog or digital radio waves anywhere in the city?

No radar at the airport?

Doesn't the guy have any electrical power at home? A microwave? Fridge? Hair Dryer? Toaster? Light bulbs of various types?

What a drama queen.

I believe a ‘WiFi’ signal is around 28MW or 28 milliwatts.

There are plenty of other signals they will encounter at work that are stronger.

Or is it the smaller wavelength they’re complaining about?

The frequencies used for Wi-Fi (2.4Ghz) are the same as for cordless phones and common kitchen microwave ovens. Add the cell phones operating at 1.9 Ghz and these guys are absolutely positive that their problem is the Wi-Fi, which uses very little power? LOL

“Technophobe suffering a panic attack because he keeps forgetting his tinfoil beanie?”

Oh, I’m sure he’s got his tinfoil hat on - it’s just wound a little too tight.

Have they got any scientific and/or medical proof that any such condition actually exists? And I mean from real doctors and/or scientists, not some “alternative medicine” holistic, homeopathic, therapeutic touch whacko.

OK, dude. Let's put you and an antenna inside a Faraday cage. The transmitter hooked to the antenna gets turned on and off randomly over, say, an hour's period of time.

If you're really that sensitive to electric fields, pressing a button when the field is present will allow you to exactly match the transmitter's random pattern. Until and unless that test is done, I ain't buyin' this crap.

Forget Global Warming and Whirled Peas, Whirled Water is the solution to all our problems.

Secret discovery over a century old has the potential to right the world at a minimal sacrifice, join now:

"Whirled water is created when water flows through a Plus & Minus whirler. In these whirlers water is directed partly clockwise, partly anti-clockwise in movements resembling the movements of water in a brook in the mountains.

Experiences show that the innovation has a considerable amount of positive characteristics, such as:

Whirled water may affect the polarity of the environment and balance harmful energies / electro smog and earth radiation. Medallions constructed according to the same principle may have a corresponding effect; the medallions seem to protect against electro smog.

There are indications that humans and animals can potentially obtain better health by drinking whirled water.

Plants seem to grow better, give larger crops, have a better growth of root system, could last longer and may contain higher levels of vitamin C and lycopene.

Reduces the need for treating water with chlorine in swimming pools Herrljunga - English.doc ; Furuboda - English.doc

Reduces the surface tension of water.

Pilot research shows a reduction of the toxin lipopolysaccharide endotoxin, which is produced by certain bacteria and cyanophytes (blue green algae).

Discs impregnated in whirled water evidently provide certain protection when using a mobile phone.

The large amount of empirical facts show the importance of that systematic research should be conducted regarding whirled water.

Extensive research is currently conducted in many laboratories in various countries, and every year new aspects on water are published. This implies that water is an extremely complicated substance, potentially much more complicated than previously has been assumed.

The energy-rich whirled water

Water is essential for life on earth. Unfortunately clean, healthy, water is rare in the world today. Also tap water which is transported in pipes long distances under pressure has lost its energy and is therefore lacking some of its original positive properties. The Austrian Viktor Schauberger (1885-1958) was probably one of the first in modern time who, through his own observations of nature, could state that water obtained altered, special properties when whirled according to a certain pattern. Schauberger used this knowledge for example in the transport of logs down from the mountains by using a minimum of whirled water.

Literature: Alexandersson, O: “Living Water. Viktor Schauberger and the secrets of natural energy”. Gateway Books, Bath, UK, 1996.

Bertil Pettersson, autodidact and innovator from Örkeljunga, Sweden, has during more than 40 years developed a system for mechanical stirring (whirling) of water, which hereby obtains special positive characteristics. The water whirlers have been developed without knowledge of Viktor Schauberger’s observations.

Bertil Petterson´s whirled water seems to differ from other whirling methods in that the latter is whirled partly clockwise, partly anti-clockwise and hereby the water seem to obtain characteristics, which are lacking in water that has been whirled in one direction only. The frequency changes as Bertil Pettersson assume, is the great discovery. The discovery has a multifaceted use today.

What is whirled water?

Even though some initial research and a large number of empirical facts show that a change in the structure of water occurs when it is whirled, the mechanism cannot be scientifically explained today.

Some spectrophotometric measurements show that whirled water differs from non-whirled water. In an initial study in Stockholm, using a DDFAO (www.medild.com ) instrument (December 2004) clearly showed that energy levels in various human organs were elevated using whirled water.

It is interesting that there seems to be no doubt that sensitive people can feel these energies.

It is also interesting that distilled water does not show subtle energies when whirled.

As a comparison can be mentioned that gravity cannot be measured today; it is shown by its effects on material.

Electromagnetic radiation (electro smog) and electro sensitivity

The use of electricity, electrical appliances and mobile phones has increased significantly during the last decades. The appliances and electromagnetic fields, which are not natural, i.e create what is called electro smog. Some of these cannot be measured by instruments which are available today.

After a technician has taken steps to reduce electromagnetic fields in an apartment or work place, many sensitive people still experience problems, probably due to the energies which cannot be measured today.

The fields affect the functions of the brain, which according to Bertil Pettersson lead to an imbalance between the brain hemispheres, often resulting in tiredness, eye- and skin problems, headache etc. It seems possible that these are energies that Plus and Minus whirler can neutralise.

A large imbalance between the brain hemispheres is also occurring in electro sensitive and “burned out” people.

Examples of equipment that create fields: Mobile phones (batteries are often aggressive), mobile phone base station antennas, computers, cord/wireless phones, floor heating, television, photocopiers, faxes, metal beds, electrical cables under beds etc. Computers are an important factor with regards to triggering electro sensitivity.

Over 40 000 people with various health problems have consulted Bertil Pettersson. In the beginning, approximately 40 years ago, 15% had an imbalance between the brain hemispheres according to his measurements. Today more than 90% are affected by imbalance - a trend which Bertil Pettersson considers worrying.

It is likely that children and young people are extra sensitive.

Bertil Pettersson has developed a method for restoring the balance in the brain - a great relief for electro sensitive people who have not been able to receive help otherwise. Therapist training occurs in Finland and Sweden who use this method.

BioAq has in a similar way to Plus & Minus found that Plus & Minus medallions give electro sensitive people a possibility to work with computers, something which previously had been associated with medical problems.

Whirled water and medallions potentially also protect people who are not yet sensitized.

When one is exposed to electromagnetic fields during a long period of time, there may be a risk for reaching the level which causes problems.

It is easy to understand that processes on a cellular level may be disturbed by electromagnetic radiation, since a large part of what happens in cells are electrochemical processes (such as nerve impulses).

It is a fact that the number of electro sensitive people have significantly increased during the last years. Electro sensitivity may constitute a serious health and social problem in the future.

In Sweden, electro sensitivity is classified as a handicap. It is estimated that 300 000 people are affected in Sweden. The proportions are likely to be similar in Finland, in other words approximately 100 000 electro sensitive people.

There are over 10 000 publications concerning electromagnetic fields and radiation affect biological systems.

Internet search engine: electro sensitivity, magnetic field? “By introducing Plus and Minus whirled water into the environment - in the tap water - or heating system of the building or by placing it in vessels, by watering plants with whirled water - we can change the polarity of the environment and protect ourselves against electrosmog and against earth radiation."
