When women go into combat without the help of men - then we should change the songs.

Some female cadets object to the change and say they don’t want to come off as “whiners.” But Hagenbeck said the reason for the change isn't coming from the female cadets, and is instead a commonsense move to change with the times, considering the role women play in today's military.

Sounds like the women don't even want this. Hagenbeck's definition of "commonsense" must be different than mine.

Methinks it's time for “Buster” to retire.

In the middle of two wars and this glorified bureaucrat is worried about offending someone in a song.

Time for this joker to get his priorities straight and concentrate on turning out top flight officers to lead our wonderful troops in the future. We owe it to them.

Let's waste time on this nonsensical Horsesh** instead.

For a long time now when I watch movies or TV I inject my own dialogs, plot twists and endings. If I didn't I would never watching anything because the Leftist controlled media sucks that bad. I tell my wife: now this is how the movie really ended...

They can never change the song in your mind.

This says it all. The PC Police are not really interested in advancing the interests of those individuals within the groups that they have identified as victims. Rather, they are merely interested in sticking it to those who represent established norms.

When the hippies and the far-left activists of the '60s railed against The Establishment, they at least had a clearer and purer vision of what they opposed than today's politically correct crowd does.

They tried to do that when I was a cadet.

We learned them the old way, but the classes coming right before I graduated were learning the PC versions.

I thought the emasculation of espirit de corp was a done deal.

It will always be true that for almost 200 years the heroes from the academy were men. No one will be tricked into thinking the reputation of the corps was earned by anyone but men.

Women are not warriors. Never will be. Never should be.
West Point is designed to produce warriors.

A great habit that I always engage in that illustrates the absurdity of PC langauge:

Substitute the gender-neutral word no matter what - even when NO ONE uses that term and even when it changes surnames.

My favorite example: former NARAL leader Kate Michelperson, X-people (not X-men), Spiderperson (for spiderman), Wonderperson (for wonderwoman), “I have to go to the joan/john”, etc.

The real problem is referring to the song as the “Alma Mater,” a term that means “nourishing mother.” To be gender neutral, it should be called the “Alma Neuter.”

My son and another friend will be there this weekend to support their best friend's graduation. I'm sure glad they'll get to hear it the way it should be. They are so pumped, and so are we. I just went out and got the graduation gifts. What a great weekend for the three amigos who locked arms from grade school onward.

Hopefully my son will be leaving for OCS on 4th of July at Quantico!!! Fingers crossed and prayers up.
