"TERRORISM" May 2002 - So it appears that the "home of the brave" includes citizens who may be intimidated by the presence of a plastic knife! One may only be terrorized if he allows himself to be. "Terror" is a bad word and should be abandoned. Apparently, we are living in an age when word usage may be dictated by the timid, the cowardly and the dishonorable. Let us turn that around and set up proper English usage to suit people who are worthy of it. Just as you cannot be enslaved against your will, you cannot be terrorized against your will. We inherit a noble tradition. Let us now resolve to live up to it!

With a wide open border to the rest of the world, it’s only a question of when. Evidence of uranium smuggling has already been found on the border.

Our enemies learned from 9/11 that they need to hit us hard the first time with a new attack before we smarten up(it’s pretty much impossible to hijack planes today).

A single nuke would do very little to hurt the US and would force us to secure the border, but many nukes hitting simultaneously could cause complete chaos. The psychological impact of a nuke attack could be devastating enough.

Technology offers prosperity but also gives power to madmen.

Thanks for posting this piece. My fear is that the next terrorist campaign will involve conventional weapons (Hamas, Islamic Jihad) relaunching its rocket campaign against Israel. Use of WMD against the west is also a possibility, though much less likely.
