One monster of a structure:
The Monster Monument at Victory Plaza
He’s been portrayed as an intimidating, car crushing creature who wreaks havoc on NASCAR’s most skilled competitors. He’s been molded into the winner’s trophy, playfully mimicked by victorious drivers, featured in a comic book, and posed as an action figure.
In 2008, Miles the Monster will become the largest attraction at a NASCAR track and will be one of the tallest fiberglass structures in the world. The Monster Monument will stand 46-feet-tall amongst race fans in the newly created Victory Plaza at Dover International Speedway.

Love the pics of the "Monster"!
Sadly, no Monster for me this weekend.....unless it's a monster wave on the beach in SoCal, which would be my luck!
The boy has a school band gig to do at Disneyland on Friday, so off we go. Da beach is scheduled for Sunday.
Not to worry, I'll put a few 'ovals' in the sand.....lol

There is only one show I watch on the over the air networks and that is the local news on the cBS affiliate here and what do I get tonight??? A bunch of maladjusted Hells Angels with bad breath zooming around on a frozen pond.
Next to the Nascar threads there is nothing I look forward to more then the weather guy telling me it was cold and overcast today and we can expect the same tomorrow and the day after ...
