Scathing as usual, and spot on. This crap with American companies marketing terrorist symbols is bordering on treason.

Dunkin’ Donuts has already pulled the ad.

It was a kerchief. In this case Michelle needs to get a grip!

Yeah, but watch the libs go crazy if some began wearing kaffiyahs designed with small swastikas. (too strong?) Or maybe small pics of Michelle?

Malkin takes the words out of my mouth AND says it nicer....
“refreshing to see an American company show sensitivity to the concerns of Americans opposed to Islamic jihad and its apologists. Too many of them bend over backward in the direction of anti-American political correctness. Naturally, liberal commentators on the Internet are now up in arms over Dunkin Donuts decision to yank the ad and mock anyone who expresses concern over the keffiyehs symbolism.
Its just a scarf, the clueless keffiyeh-wearers scoff. Would they say the same of fashion designers who marketed modified Klan-style hoods in Burberry plaid as the next big thing?
Fashion statements may seem insignificant, but when they lead to the mainstreaming of violence unintentionally or not they matter. Ignorance is no longer an excuse. In post-9/11 America, vigilance must never go out of style.”

I politely disagree, that "kerchief" is a Keffiyeh, and it's a symbol that
Yasser Arafat brought to the mainstream.

Imagine what todays media would concoct with the Jap Kamikaze of WW2...

Did you see the ad? It sure looked like a Pali scarf to me.

A Keffiyeh is not a plaid, as shown in the earlier thread on this subject. That thread also followed the rules by including some cute pics of Rachel Ray. Should also have included Michelle’s picture.

Sorry a paisley, not a plaid.

Hard for me to see this as anything other than an accessory to wear. I guess if you are looking for something to nitpick on, you can find it.

I have it on good authority that Rachel Ray is a very difficult person to work with and has a reputation in the media industry of being a first-class b!tch. When the camera goes off, the smile disappears, and it’s Katie-bar-the-door.

Kind of looks like Rachel rescued that scarf from the dog, or maybe it got caught in her lawn mower.

It doesn't look like a keffiyeh to me. It just looks like a really ugly scarf. But then, I've neve been blessed with Malkin's imagination.
So what's she gonna do for go-juice now? No Dunkin Donuts. No Starbucks. Reduced to that crap in the filty pot in the breakroom I guess.
To: Lucius Cornelius Sulla
Grip getting needed? Yep, you bet.
The cause of pushing back the advance of Islamofascism in the world will be advanced by clear thinking, rational assessment, and decisive action.
Normally, I agree with MM. In this case, I think she’s a bit over the top.
And, I still like Starbuck’s coffee better than DD.

Great detective work. It looks strategically placed to shield the warheads.
