Secret plans under way to tear down Christian symbols

U.S. soldiers stationed at Camp Bondsteel in Kosovo may be stunned to find three wooden crosses stripped from the exterior grounds of their chapel in coming weeks – and many never saw it coming.

Several high-ranking officers have met behind closed doors to discuss plans for the crosses. They have decided to remove, and perhaps destroy, the Christian symbols located outside Peacekeeper's Chapel in the name of free exercise of religion.

Lt. Col. William Jenkins, 35th Infantry Division's Kosovo Force 9 command chaplain, told WND, "The removal of the crosses … is bringing the chapel into line with long-standing regulations and policies that apply to every U.S. Army chapel around the world and that are supported by all faith groups in the U.S. Army."

Jenkins cited the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution as validation for the cross removal, saying it guarantees every American the right to the free exercise of religion. He also referenced an Army directive that bans religious symbols from chapels:

A chapel is a religious symbol. By their line of thinking the chapel should be razed.

And we believe that we have a Christian leadership controlling the executive right now?

Look out for when OsamaObama Hussein is the Pres. The military chaplaincy will be declared unconstitutional (by executive fiat) and summarily fired.

Crikey!

Christianity is indeed in a state of siege from enemies from the most unexpected quarters. This would not have happened in WW-II — barely 60 years ago!

It is time for Christians to say “STOP! ENOUGH!! We go THIS far and NO FURTHER!!!”

The Holy Father’s visit to the US may just have been in the nick of time. Either that, or just a moment too late...

Morning Mate!

I am stunned by this latest example of pure ignorance.

My great uncle was a Catholic chaplin during the first and second world wars. (Served under MacArthur)

This nonsense about making all things equal doesn't do anyone any favors. Its akin to putting your head in the sand so you don't have to deal with mother nature.

Figures this would happen in the little Mohammedan terror statelet at whose birth the Bush Administration played midwife and which is now propped up by your money and mine. Why anyone thinks that this Obama character will be any more a Mohammedan lover than Bush has been or the Republicans’ choice, that favorite object of Mohammedan terror campaign largess John McCain will be, is beyond me. Our political elites have moved to a place most Americans haven’t and don’t want to go.

"...every U.S. Army chapel around the world and that are supported by all faith groups in the U.S. Army."

Not very PC - but Muslims should be banned from US military service - we are at war with radical Islam, (and there is no other).

How will the Idiots in charge feel when Christians impose a “Christians Need not Apply approach to joining the military”.

How about a chart as to how many Christians gave their lives from the Civil War to the Iraq War vs. other religious backgrounds ?????

If the people being saved in Kosovo or any other nation object to Christian symbols, just bring our soldiers home.

That includes Iraq and Japan.

Sorry, but karma is a real bitch in this case.

The only reason that Bondsteel is even there is because we came into Kosovo championing Muslims against Christians. Over 150 Christians churches have been destroyed by Albanians in Kosovo since we've been there, so why should it surprise anyone that our military is now expected to hide their Christian Faith?

Do I find it disgusting that this is the case? Of course, but I have been disgusted by all of this for a long time!

Obviously the commanders of those deployed to babysit the Muslims have “gone native” and have thoroughly assimilated to that “culture”.

The ones they babysit wreck Churches—they wreck chapels.

“The ones they babysit wreck Churches—they wreck chapels.”

East of the Adriatic, the smoking ruins of Christian churches, the imposition of true dhimmitude on Christians and the slaughter of Eastern Christian hierarchs, priests and laity seem to be among the more obvious fruits of American foreign policy over the past 20 years or so. I used to think this was all a terrible coincidence and not in any way intentional. Now I think otherwise. The Mohammedan devils want to wipe out Eastern Christianity completely, at least in what has passed as the Mohammedan world over the past few centuries. I think Washington is happy to stand aside and let it happen. After all, Eastern Christians aren’t “real Christians”; they are cousins to the hated Romans and vaguely “Russian”...and our oil interests do want to keep those demons very happen. After all, there are free markets, unrestrained capitalism and MONEY at stake.
