He likes money and he likes making money. There was a market out there for Conservative Oriented Media and he catered to it and increased his riches.

When I watch FOX, I find it embarrassingly Republican biased. I would prefer they tone it down just a bit so its more effective. JMO.

Well, I think Murdoch played the conservative side because no one else was, and it gave him a great opening.

Also, he was given a very rough time by the clintons when they were in the White House, and they sicced the regulators on him. He doesn’t want to go through that again, so he will cozy up to whoever could cause him the most trouble. So he has in turn backed Gore, Hillary, and now Obama—because if any of them got into power, they could give him a lot of grief.
