The younger Clinton made her remarks in a response to a question from Yellowstone County Commissioner Bill Kennedy (D), who asked her what efforts could be made to get more cops on the street.

Well, you've got to give her credit. A sure way to get more cops on the street is to increase violent crime rates and the best way to do that is with gun control.

Well shucks! I’d take offense, just as soon as somebody could explain to me just what the hell she said.

“Chelsea Clinton: “We also need to do more with gun control. And my mom supports- naturally what she supported in New York. Which is: we have different gun control laws in New York City than we do in upstate New York. I think a lot of people think of New York City as just being New York, but actually the majority of New York State, not only land mass wise, but also people wise, lives outside New York City- and we have very different gun control laws in New York City as what we do in upstate New York.”

Is Chelsea copping her style from Miss Teen USA contestants now?

“I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uhmmm, some people out there in our nation don't have maps and uh, I believe that our, I, education like such as, uh, South Africa, and uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and I believe that they should, uhhh, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., uh, should help South Africa, it should help the Iraq and the Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future, for us."

She said this in Montana ?

Shades of "The Simple Life."

She should have gotten some tips from Paris and Nicole before she stepped into it.

If her pop showed a little more gun control he might never have been impeached.

McCain has limited appeal to conservatives so he may be dogged by 3rd party candidates in some states. At best, conservatives will vote for McCain but not work hard for him. The country seems open to the rats message of huge government. The majority will vote for the party that promises more services from the public treasury. Collectively through the party and affiliates, the rats have an overwhelming advantage in resources. Independents often side for the most engaging person. Obama is far more engaging than McCain.

I have not decided if I will vote for McCain. I prefer his policies on defense, taxes, and spending. Even in these areas, he has some odd positions such as on Gitmo. I am not sure he can be trusted on taxes. His actions speak louder than his recent words. On immigration, environment, and energy policy, he is only marginally better Obama. It may be preferrable to have rat responsible for these terrible policies.

I agree. It's deeds, not words that matter. Personally, I voted GOP with pride in 1980 and 1984, with trepidation in 1988, and with my nose held ever since. I cannot vote for a candidate who supports cap and trade enviromarxism.

Obama will be a disaster for the U.S. McCain would be worse.

Republicans could rally in opposition to Obama. If McCain wins, half the GOP would feel the call of party loyalty to support McCain's harebrained, leftist initiatives. Principled conservatives will oppose him. With the aid of selective media reporting, the Dems will succeed in blaming all ills on the GOP, potentially bringing about wilderness we haven't seen since FDR.

Four years of Obama might yield the next Reagan Revolution. Four years of McCain might yield 24 years of leftist domination.

Islamic terrorism is a real threat, but one that's transparent when active. It's easy to rally opposition to thugs with bombs.

Enviromarxism is a greater threat, largely because it's transparent and opposed by so few. It is more threatening than terrorism and a greater threat to liberty.

Yup, push gun control in Montana. It’s very clear that Stanford graduates are smarter than the rest of us.

Hillary Clinton's challenger, Barack Obama, has also come under attack by Montana Republican Party Chairman Erik Iverson recently, who says Obama voted to ban shotguns for use during hunting.

Slightly OT, but:
Note the subtle bias inherent in the wording here. The reporter doesn't bother to research Obama's voting record and determine whether he ACTUALLY voted to ban shotguns for use during hunting, he just says that the Republican SAYS Obama voted to ban shotguns for use during hunting. So he cleverly makes it into a statement about the Republican party chairman, rather than a statement about Obama's voting record.

Well, Tom Jefferson said “America needs a revolution every 50 years”...we’re more than 100 years late.

Maybe we need to destroy the country to re-build it back up again...unfortunately, the liberals have been doing that for the past 12 years.
