Moscow, Russia - An Israeli woman 27 year old Mrs. Yael Antinev a mother of 2 kids, was murdered in Russia today by a perp who slit her throat, on her way escorting a friend to the Ohaley Yaakov Yeshiva in Moscow, where her husband teaches.
ZAKA representative in Moscow, Shaya Deutsche, said that the witnesses in the crime scene reported they heard screaming near the yeshiva and that nearby fire fighting forces quickly arrived at the scene. They summoned the police, which managed to arrest the suspect. The murder was apparently criminally motivated not anti-semitic.
The victims husband, who was not at the yeshiva, saw that his wife was late to return and went looking for her. When he reached the yeshiva entrance, he received the bad news.
ZAKAs volunteers in Moscow collected the blood.
Chief Rabbi of Russia Berel Lazar is working with the local authorities to prevent a postmortem operation of the victim and help Zaka transfer the body for burial in Israel.
Warning! This is a high-volume ping list.
“The murder was apparently criminally motivated not anti-semitic.”
Yeah, I’ve read time and again about Russian gangs slitting the throats of spouses of school teachers. It’s an old tactic. /sarc
When will they divulge the perp’s name and national origin?
The perp is a Russian who is said to be a drug addict looking for target of opportunity.
Do they have the death penalty in Russia for criminal murder?................
Okay. Gotta say the throat-slitting seems a little bizarre so maybe it was an addled druggie. Stabbing, yes, I can see a whacked-out person doing but throat slitting is more, shall we say, purposeful?
Ping.
May G-d avenge her blood and comfort her loved ones.
Actually, I lived in Moscow for almost two years and saw a few bizarre things. While I was at the Exhibition Park I witnessed a man, most likely homeless, clinging on to his life after his throat was slit. Unfortunately help did not come quickly.
