Green Warfare

The misanthropic movement known as environmentalism doesn't mind the military killing people, but God forbid if an instrument of warfare generates carbon dioxide! According to this LiveScience article, Environmentally Friendly Bombs Planned:

TNT, RDX and other explosives commonly used in military and industrial applications often generate toxic gases upon detonation that pollute the environment. Moreover, the explosives themselves are toxic and can find their way into the environment due to incomplete detonation and as unexploded ordnance. They are also extremely dangerous to handle, as they are highly sensitive to physical shock, such as hard impacts and electric sparks.

To make safer, more environmentally friendly explosives, scientists in Germany turned to a recently explored class of materials called tetrazoles. These derive most of their explosive energy from nitrogen instead of carbon as TNT and others do.

Sometimes farce writes itself.

And the movement's Malthusian hatred of the human species doesn't end there: Long before the villainous Agent Smith surfaced in the 1999 movie, The Matrix, greens have considered people to be pollution. As a different, non-fictional Smith, the great Robert J. Smith (also known as R.J. Smith) of the Competitive Enterprise Institute has noted, Britain's Prince Phillip is sympathetic to this view, having said if he were to be reincarnated, he would want to return to Earth as "a killer virus to lower human population levels." This isn't that far removed from the mainstream of the environmentalist movement today.

When we die, we cause problems for holy mother Earth, according to environmentalists. We can't be buried because that pollutes. We can't be cremated because that pollutes. Notwithstanding the environmentalists' objection to cremation which they say fouls both air and water, apparently it's OK for us to have our ashes mixed into concrete and sunk in the ocean as memorial reefs. OK for now, that is: It may be just a matter of time before trendy environmentalists begin attacking that too. Maybe the reefs will interfere with green crusader Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s enjoyment of the waters off his beloved Cape Cod.

Imagine the tons and tons of explosives detonated across the globe in WW-II and the CO2 from burning cities on two continents not to mention detonating two atomic bombs in quick succession. According to the theory the years after WW-II should have been the warmest on record, but they weren’t.
