I was pitched a service by a guy in our neighborhood selling a pest control service. The package sounded good, but when he told me it was a quarterly service, he said that because the media they used was "green" it broke down quickly and had to be reapplied often enough to be effective.
Bottom line, because it was "green", it was less effective, and cost more.
