40 years after RFK's death, questions linger
San Francisco Chronicle ^ | 6/3/8 | Michael Taylor

The assassination was over in a few seconds. In the photograph of that moment, Bobby Kennedy, his eyes open and glazed, lies on his back on a hotel pantry floor, his head cradled by a busboy dressed starkly in white - a tableau that seems almost angelic were it not so brutal.

Less than 26 hours after being shot early on June 5, 1968, right after winning the California presidential primary, Kennedy was dead. He was 42.

Three major assassinations rocked America in the 1960s. Two of the assassins - Lee Harvey Oswald, the killer of John F. Kennedy, and James Earl Ray, who shot Martin Luther King Jr. - are dead. But Sirhan Sirhan, convicted of killing Robert F. Kennedy 40 years ago this week in the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles, is living out his days in the California state prison at Corcoran. He is 64 and has never fully explained what happened that night other than to say he can't remember it.

Sirhan was a seemingly unremarkable man. He was a Palestinian who was raised in the Middle East until he was 12, when his family settled in Southern California. Before the Kennedy assassination, he held a series of menial jobs and at one point worked at the Santa Anita racetrack and had hoped to be a jockey.

After Los Angeles police found his diary, in which he had written, "RFK must die," investigators concluded that he was angry about Kennedy's support for Israel and somehow had tied the assassination date - he wrote that Kennedy must be killed "before 5 June 68" - to the one-year anniversary of the Six-Day War.

Open and shut

Los Angeles police, who declined Monday to comment on their investigation, deemed the assassination an open-and-shut case - Sirhan did it by himself.

Go up to the library at Dartmouth College. You’ll find everything you want to know.

“Like why did Clinton choose to bring it up, now? “

I guess she is just another example of a desperate housewife.

“...a tableau that seems almost angelic...”

If the victim were an oil corporation executive, an officer of a lumber company or just a garden variety, white Christian male conservative, I doubt that in the eyes of the LeftMedia propagandists that the “tableau” would have seemed “angelic”.

He is a muslim. He killed an infidel who was a supporter of Jews who have the gumption of living on "muslim" land and not as slaves...

From the article:

“Sirhan was born in Jerusalem[1] to Christian Palestinian parents and was raised in the Maronite Church. In his adult life however, he made several religious conversions, joining Baptist and Seventh-day Adventist churches, and dabbled in the occult.[2]”

-from Wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sirhan_Sirhan

The article does go on to say he was very upet by RFKs support for Israel....

Because the war on terror has been waged on American soil for 40 years whether we WANT to fight the enemy or not.

Wasn’t Sirhan a Christian?

His parents were Christian, he was rised Christian, but they say he started getting into the occult, I translate that to Islam, but who am I? Sirhan is reported to want to kill Kennedy for his overwealming support for Israel, which would have trumped any religious beliefs.

RFK was murdered by the same people that organized and carried out the murder of JFK. The bullet that killed RFK was shot from a gun several inches from his head and Sirhan Sirhan shot from at least 6-12 feet away. JFK was killed by bullets shot from a guns used by experts not by Oswald who the Russians reported couldn’t shoot with any degree accuracy at all.

We the People will never know who those shadowy people are because no one is talking. The people who could talk are now dead. And they died under strange circumstances.

Interesting concept, I didn’t know that either Sirhan or Oswald were Muslim.

This article spins all the conspiracy garbage but leaves out one little fact. There were dozens if not hundreds of witnesses who saw Sirhan do it and the gun was taken out of his hand afterward. There is no room for doubt. These conspiracy nuts are the stupidest people imaginable with the possible exception of people who believe them.
