WASHINGTON - Hillary Rodham Clinton will concede Tuesday night that Barack Obama has the delegates to secure the Democratic nomination, campaign officials said, effectively ending her bid to be the nation's first female president.
The former first lady will stop short of formally suspending or ending her race in her speech in New York City. She will pledge to continue to speak out on issues like health care. But for all intents and purposes, the two senior officials said, the campaign is over.
Most campaign staff will be let go and will be paid through June 15, said the officials who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to divulge her plans.
The advisers said Clinton has made a strategic decision to not formally end her campaign, giving her leverage to negotiate with Obama on various matters including a possible vice presidential nomination for her. She also wants to press him on issues he should focus on in the fall, such as health care.

The fat lady sings.
I’ll believe it when I hear it.
It’s been debunked by Clinton campaign. She’s bitter and ‘clinching’
Now let's defeat Nobama
She’s not going away. Watch for her to “suspend” her campaign. Now the dirty undermining of Bierock O’bama will begin in earnest from the Klinton camp.
Because we all remember what happened to RFK....
She is conceding but staying in.
Got it.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Did girlfriend make a dealy-poo with Obama ???
VIP Clinton, perhaps ???
Errr VP Clinton...
:)
Nope...now she’s staying in. I think her exact words were “I decided to stay in the race, right after I decided to drop out.”
I don’t get it. he don’t need her. what leverage does she have ?(Other than the Michelle tape :) ) Not supporting him ? a Rat, if it votes will vote Rat.
w?
this is not over yet. The war for super delagates will go on, starting with the character assination of Michelle my Belle.
Her staff denies it, naturally.
The story is carefully worded- “concede that Obama has the delegate count”, but not “concede the primary fight”.
Maybe, if this is true, her statement will be, yes, he has more delegates, but let's take this to the convention for the real primary fight.
In any case, here is a link to an entire popcorn factory up for auction:

Let's pool our resources, buy it, and sell Freeper brand Political Popcorn for the general election.
The AP story is incorrect. Senator Clinton will not concede the nomination this evening,” the campaign said in a statement issued just minutes after the report was issued.
Clinton campaign chairman Terry McAuliffe told CNN Clinton was “absolutely not” conceding the campaign and said the AP report was completely incorrect.
“We’ve got to spend the next three days... working the superdelegates to convince them a) Hillary got more votes than anyone else and b) she is the best one to take on John McCain in the fall,” he said.

I'm calling BS. She doesn't have to stay in the race to accomplish this.
Here is an entire popcorn factory for sale. We should chip in and buy it, and sell Freeper Popcorn for the general.
I doubt that the story is true, it's too carefully worded. Since MSM loves Obama, it would not be beneath them to push a “she's conceding” story while the polls are open.
I note the careful wording- “conceding that he has the delegate count” is not “conceding the primary”.
Maybe the truth is that she will indeed say that he has the delegates, but will promise to go on to the convention for the real fight.
This has been so much fun to watch, it would be a shame if it were over.
NOOOoooooooooooo!!!!!!
She will never quit even in Denver she will say that there is a mistake or something like that. They will need a strait jacket for her and be taken away by the men with the white coats!I knew she never say die,she does not have it in her!
