New York Times ^ | 6/4/08 | Maureen Dowd

Whoever said that after denial comes acceptance hadn’t met the Clintons.

If Hillary could not have an acceptance speech, she wasn’t going to have acceptance.

“It’s never going to end,” sighed one Democrat who has been advising Hillary. “We’re just moving to a new phase.”

I don’t understand your rules, but at least you have some.

As regards the subject matter of this article, Hillary must really think she’s god when she thinks she’ll save the Democratic party.

What unmitigated arrogance.

“Hillary must really think she’s god when she thinks she’ll save the Democratic party.”

Then what does that make Obama, who will save the souls of the entire country?

Not complaining, but which rule requires that?

Yep, you hit the nail on the head. Hillary is so full of herself. No lie is too trivial or too big for her to utter it. One has to question her mental state.

Hillary’s entire plan, once it became clear that Obama had the nomination, was to get the VP slot, and she knew that Obama did not want her on the ticket, so she made a power play, trying to force him to take her because she had the votes.

“Then what does that make Obama, who will save the souls of the entire country?”

Both are pontificators. Hillary, the pontificator married to the fornicator...I digress.

That Hillary sacrifices to stay in for the good of the Dem party beccause Obama is too weak to save the Democratic party shows her bloated sense of self.

I guess we have to discuss the Mo-Do article instead of the lavender shoes...

I think Mrs. Clinton is just positioning herself to be the only viable alternative if Obama suddenly becomes radioactive. As with the beauty pageant, if Miss America is for some reason unable to fulfill her duties, the Second Runner Up will be crowned and reign for the remainder of her term. However, if somebody else was chosen for the VEEP slot, he or she would become the Second Runner Up should Obama stumble.

The Popular Vote argument, IMHO is nothing but an attempt to give the Superdelegates some measure of political cover if it becomes necessary for them to vote against Obama. While they are stabbing him in the back, they can intone seriously about “heeding the will of the American People”, etc.

Stare at that picture for 5-6 minutes and you’ll imagine some ugly purple shoes.

“One has to question her mental state.”

I think it’s called narcissism. Wikipedia says, “In psychology and psychiatry, excessive narcissism is recognized as a severe personality dysfunction or personality disorder,... .”
